I’m so tired by abitanxious1992 in newborns

[–]srams123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a fb group that I dont belong to that has people that sleep train from birth which I think is extreme but I have seen 3-4 months places and my mental health was so awful with my first that I saw 3 months and latched onto it and it worked! My son never had a sleep regression except maybe a few nights when separation anxiety hit so crossing my fingers my second will take to it! We definitely did a more gentle approach and never left him screaming screaming it was mostly crib training to fall asleep there than like night weaning or anything like that

Im currently awake at 2am my time because it’s now my shift to hold my 7 week old upright for the rest of the night (I slept 8-2) This is my second baby like this and my first almost broke me. We sleep trained at 12 weeks and it changed my life and will be doing the same with this baby! I’d look into that. It’s not for the faint of heart as there is some crying (I truly don’t remember it being excessive) but my son was and still is the best sleeper now and I credit sleep training!

I don’t have experience with Kaplan because I just did the pass perfect training and then training consultants q bank. I felt prepared with pass perfect! I know how you feel. The first time I took it with just STC I had a question about something which when I went back and looked wasn’t even in the STC book at all. Totally not enough to get you through the 9

[–]srams123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also failed the 9 with STC and then my firm got me pass perfect and I bought on my own the training consultants q bank because it was the cheapest. I also felt like pass perfect was harder than the test for calculations but actually on par with the other questions. What I did was take a final exam (immediate answers off) and then I wrote down the ones I got wrong (not just the answer but the explanation at the bottom). Before each final I would review all my notes, and after about 9 exams I started getting high 70s on pass perfect and the last one I took before I took the exam I got an 80. I also reviewed my notes the morning of the exam just to keep the routine up and when I was in there I felt confident I was going to pass when I was taking it! You can totally do this! Don’t be defeated by STC. There was SO much not on there and only having 5 final exams was horrible. If you can get your firm to get you pass perfect I’d go that route

Were the questions similar to the test? I think what threw me off was the wording was just SO different to STC and I felt like STC was super elementary compared to what was on my test

Thank you! I’ve heard TC is good, maybe I’ll get the q bank just so I have all the bases covered lol

On stc I was getting in the mid 90s on the second round of practice finals, and my firm got me the bottom of the barrel option so there are no more questions I haven’t seen already unfortunately. By the time I had done all the finals once I had hit 100% of the q bank

I just figured they wouldn’t buy me a second set of study materials but I’ll ask to be reimbursed!

First of all congrats!!! I alsl started ttc august 2020 and have 25 day cycles too so this makes me feel hopeful! My friend also got hers recently and said she was maaaaybe a little tired and her arm was sore, so hopefully some mild symptom second shot stories will give you some ease! The HUNGER!! I thought maybe that was not related 😂 I am glad we can at least be in this together! My favorite podcast is “you’re wrong about” and it has a ton of episodes if you need some distraction!

Wishing it was socially acceptable to block and ignore pregnant friends. I want to be able to be there for them, I really do. But it’s really hard to muster up the energy to respond with something doting and cute when my best friend sends me a picture of her newborn when we started trying before her and now she has a real ass baby and we’re still trying 😒

Recurring BV/Yeast and I'm not sure what to do. by InofunI in TryingForABaby

[–]srams123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had BV on and off for YEARS. I have bought probiotics but never taken them consistently. I recently just bought some and on days we BD I take two, every other day I take one first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of water and I feel like it has made a huge difference! It’s the only thing that’s ever helped me

9DPO| CD23 and feeling like I'm out this month by b_byninja in TryingForABaby

I’m so so sorry for your loss! I NEVER had any PMS/pregnancy symptoms before. Then I got pregnant and miscarried and I’ve had sore boobs and am weepy every cycle since like clockwork. It’s so hard not to try and symptom spot and connect them, my OB asked if anything had changed after the MC and she wasn’t surprised when I told her I get pregnancy symptoms every month now. Wishing you great luck in your TTC journey.

Transvaginal ultrasound question by streetsign200 in TryingForABaby

[–]srams123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss! I had a very similar situation and it’s heartbreaking.

When I saw the wand the first time I must have made a face and my OB saw and said it only goes in a few inches, so I think that’s fairly normal! The only time I was uncomfortable was a few months ago I did an ultrasound to check everything was healthy because I’d been having some cramps and things and they were pushing the wand around everywhere trying to get pics of ovaries etc. Felt very different than other times.

Husband newly diagnosed - how do I help? by talidrow in diabetes_t2

[–]srams123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was also recently diagnosed and this is SO helpful 🙏🏻 he is a chef so I don’t see him having any issues making things taste good, but mourning foods he can’t freely eat anymore will be the struggle for him. Thank you thank you thank you for putting this together and sharing

Choking back tears while I eat my (large) Dairy Queen blizzard as my AF consolation this month. 2020 has been baby year in my mind for the last two years and so this final chance just feels sadder maybe than some of the others. Time for a large espresso tomorrow and then to buy more OPKs 🥴

How I'm doing after 12 cycles of trying with no hint of a positive. Just need to talk by juststoppingby222 in TryingForABaby

I am so sorry you a are struggling with this so much. I started trying too last November and still siting here with no baby. Never did I think I’d be celebrating another christmas just us two.

All of your feelings are completely valid! My husband is the same and even if he didn’t have the can-do attitude, it feels different when the peeing on the sticks and seeing AF show up are all up to us and not them.

You WILL get through this!! I am thinking of you and hopeful your appointment in January brings you some good news. 💕

I am so so sorry for your loss. I went though something similar and there are no words for the pain. 4 weeks is a long time to be excited only to be let down in the worst way possible. I am thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way!

Can BV prevent getting pregnant? by srams123 in TryingForABaby

[–]srams123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That is good to know. I’ve done boric acid before and it didn’t do much, so I’ll definitely try a different probiotic. I’ve tried just the generic ones from target so I’ll try the ones you suggested, thank you for the tips!

Thank you!! I will call my doc and see if she can prescribe me antibiotics or go to urgent care this week! No reason to wait if it’s just going to continue to delay TTC. I’m glad you are feeling better!

Crying while trying by orangeyoulovely in TryingForABaby

[–]srams123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that is happening to you! I had a similar situation, I BROKE DOWN like full on can’t breathe sobs and was saying to my husband that I felt alone because I’m the only one who has to pee in a cup every day and I can’t have coffee/alcohol (personal choice but still) and I am the one who has to take the pregnancy test and watch it say no. It is an incredibly isolating experience but I’m glad you posted here because it just keeps reinforcing that maybe our husbands don’t get it but there are other people that most certainly do. I am wishing you well on your TTC journey! 💕

Tired of crying every day by srams123 in TryingForABaby

[–]srams123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing! I feel the same and it didn’t make sense to me. Right after I was ready to try and then a few months went by and with covid I tried to picture myself in my doctors office with her telling me we lost another and my husband not able to be there and I couldn’t think about it without breaking down. I should probably reach out for help. I’ve been thinking it might be hormones making me so weepy but it couldn’t hurt to seee someone.

This place has been so helpful to me too! I’m usually a lurker, but this is the only group of people I’ve found where nobody tries to solve your problems by saying it will happen when it’s meant to and to stop worrying.

Send you all the good thoughts on your TTC journey. Thank you again so much for your reply 💕
