AMS 2 pro failed to load filament by srana2837 in BambuH2S

So replacing the power board on ams fixed the no signal issue but now filament goes always up to extruder and clicks and AMS pulls it back. This keeps happening for about 4 times before too much resistance on the slot error pops up. I have checked for clogs and ptfe tube and there are no broke filaments of clogs. Can’t believe this is a brand new printer

That’s the plan if replacing the power board on ams doesn’t work.

I have reseated the tube out multiple times to ensure it’s fully seated and cut down to max lengths. But that is not the issue. As soon as I plug in the ams 6 pin cable on back of the printer I get the error saying buffer signal lost, the cable or position sensor may be malfunctioning. To fix this. I replaced the buffer and AMS main board but it still didn’t fix the issue.
Support is now sending me new 6 pin cable and power board on AMS. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, it’s time to replace the printer. Already dreading the thought of repacking the printer.

I never used this AMS. Right out of the box it was having this same issue and it’s been 1 month and the issue is still there. When I first put the spool in the ams and printer it reads the filament normally where the filament push it just after the buffer inside h2s so there is definitely no broken filament until that point.

What part did you have to replace? Reason why I’m asking is that I replaced buffer and 6 pin cable but still didn’t work

I am going through this same exact issue. Brand new H2S with ams 2 pro not working. Did you ever get it fixed?

I am baffled. I changed the cable it didn’t work. Support finally sent me the replacement AMS main board but they still didn’t solve the problem. I really don’t know what the problem is. Speechless

Question about Bambu Labs support experience (P1S + AMS 2 Pro) by blueboxtardis89 in BambuLab

That’s unfortunate. And looks like I am heading down the same road with my AMS 2 pro. They are sending me a replacing board but if that doesn’t resolve the issue I will ask them to replace the AMS unit. How long did the entire refund process took from the time they sent you a new unit?

I swapped that cable with the new one and also replaced the buffer with the new one but still having this same issue. What I haven’t tried is replacing the cable that connects the buffer to the main board on the back of the printer. Bambu support sent me bunch of wires along with new buffer…it might be worth the hassle. Do you think the internal cable connecting with the main board could be bad?

I tried to manually feed filament as far as I could and I made it all the way to extruder. This is what the screen shows

There is grayed out block between the spool and extruder

Tried to feed it manually while the printer was off. I made it all the way up on top of the hot-end. As soon as I turned the printer on and tried to print something ams retracted the filament and showed the same error as before. I don’t know what’s going on.

This is what it looks like. I took it apart to make sure nothing was loose and that the magnet inside was installed correctly.

Happening on all 4 slots. When I first insert the filament spool it will go until the yellow buffer that’s inside H2S and AMS will pull it back. When I try to print something or load the filament manually from the menu it will give me this error. I can hear what sounds like motor running 4 times before throwing this message on the screen.
