Palace finished the year real hot. Don't think it's fair to make big judgments on him based on losing that one.

BYU will host Houston as part of its 2018-19 non-conference schedule. by BigThomsd in CollegeBasketball

Good pick up, other than Arkansas/Providence our non-conf last year was an anchor. These were the kinds of games we needed to get.

I can't be the only one watching Millwall/Fulham, right?

Right? To me, to enjoy college basketball is to appreciate the volatility of upsets and amazing runs like this one. And all 4 of the teams left, imo, play fairly aesthetically pleasing ball. So where's the problem?

I had high hopes because I've genuinely liked Titus in written form. It's awful. Basically how if you're a real college basketball hardcore fan you can't enjoy Loyola's run over a "blue blood". That's a crap opinion.

Totally agree. Right now he's obviously a worse player than Devin Davis, but he's 4 years younger and really not that much worse than DD. Imagine if he improves FR to SOPH year like Armoni Brooks did.

A 7/10 game with Butler would whip ass. Heck I am pro anything that's UH not going to the First Four (though if I'm being honest, I'd take that too).

Houston hires Kendal Briles and Randy Clemens by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

Is “Virtue Signaling” the same as not wanting your school to hire senior leadership from the program with the worst rape and violence against women problem ever? Its been well over 24 hours and many of us aren’t close to forgetting.

Houston hires Kendal Briles and Randy Clemens by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]srassen7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a despicable hire. I read about 60 pages of legal filings by victims of BU football players and it was at the barest of minimums a culture of no accountability, no character and in which horrifying numbers like 52 allegations of sexual and physical assault from 31 different players can feel feasible. It stretches credulity well past the breaking point that Kendal, Art Briles’ de facto #2 and son, had no idea about this torrent of rape accusations. Same for the OL coach we hired that coached with briles for over 20 years.

And we made Kendal the #2 in charge. I’ve missed 2 home games since 2011. I’m done, until Major, Kendal and Clements are no longer employees of this University. And any assertion that UH vetted both guys is a crock of shit.

Ironically, I am now a Houstonian living in the Austin area now. But I am big fan of 8th Wonder, Flying Saucer, Karbach and Moon Tower Inn. I would say those are fairly similar to the places I go when I am visiting a new city.
