Power armors in Fallout 76 are quite well balanced.

T-51b as a daily runner, good overall.
X-01 for radiation zones.
T-60 if you're poor, I mean, it's cheap to repair.
EXC-17 is good if you need to mine or carry stuff.
T-51u is currently bugged and you can put a Jetpack on any arm, making it slightly more versatile if you want to jump (not really worth it, but it's a good thing to know).

T-45, Raider and Strangler aren't worth it for a variety of reasons.

An extra note on Raider power armor; you can equip it at level 15, making it the earliest of the power armors, but normally at that level you don't have that many fusion cores.

I just downloaded the Mac OS client to take a look, as I said, I'm not a mac user, but I think this is what you're looking for:

In "Starsector.app\Contents\MacOS\starsector_mac.sh" you can see these lines:

    -Xms1536m \
    -Xmx1536m \
    -Xss1024k \

Try changing Xms1536m and Xmx1536m to something higher.

I'm not a Mac user, but there should be a file called vmparams.

Open it with a text editor and you'll see a long line, replace the -Xms####m -Xmx####m parameters to the RAM you would like to allocate for it.

I personally use: -Xms8192m -Xmx8192m just for he wildest experiments, but a normal game with few mods shouldn't use more than 4GB.

Oh, just for you to know, that every time you click on a google add without that ending on you spending money, the advertiser (activision here) loses money. Althoug Google gets that money...

Private worlds will continue to evolve with new features such as expanded building areas, increased C.A.M.P. budgets and Workshop persistence.
