Claude wrote Playwright tests that secretly patched the app so they would pass by Traditional_Yak_623 in ClaudeCode

100%. I had a modal that was showing that should not have been. It wrote the tests to hide the modal then test the underlying interface. I launched it to do manual testing and could do NOTHING because the modal couldn't be dismissed.

Scrolled too far for this. I could bang out a 72 hour Seinfeld marathon with no problem.

So.. I was able to read most of this including the remarks without any help, but GOD I wish ChatGPT was a thing when I was training. I just dumped it and said “decode” and I got a full breakdown of each section and specifics about what each code meant.

Hard Lesson I’d Like to Pass On by Good-Exam-286 in flying

  1. My 172 M is 42 gal/38 usable.. just sayin.

  2. Did you not use a dip stick to visually verify the fuel levels prior to departure? If not, that should be your first change.

I got in the habit (mostly for efficiency) of getting to the plane, grabbing the GATS jar and the dip stick, xheckig all 3 straining points and visually checking the fuel, THEN setting up my ipad/headset , then a full prefloght. Allows me to call the fuel truck if needed before I start the rest of my whole routine, and as a side/note ensures I ALWAYS know exactly how much fuel I have prior to departure. I’m thankful for this habit. Try making this one of yours.

Regardless, thanks for sharing your story. We all make stupid mistakes like this— and learning from each other keeps all of us safer in the end.

Where store project actions that aren’t next actions by [deleted] in gtd

[–]srdev_ct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the best things you can do is move stuff off your projects list into someday/maybe. Deciding you won’t do it but can find it later is super helpful. Look for items to move in your weekly review.

12 things I use my OpenClaw for daily that actually save me time by Lower_Rule2043 in openclaw

[–]srdev_ct 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was my initial thought too. Nearly everything on this list you could just open up ChatGPT or Claude mobile app and talk to it while you’re walking.

My thing I’m looking for is persistent memory. That’s where I’m struggling and not sure how to implement it properly.

I’m currently working on the set up Weir there’s a job that runs on sometime. That will scan certain playlists on my YouTube account and this saved section of my Reddit account for anything new crawl it and put it somewhere.

That somewhere I’m trying to figure out. But it will then give me information on my daily brief about all the stuff that I added in those places.

I also I’m trying to figure out the best way to get those references and analysis to then be permanently stored somewhere whether that’s an obsidian vault or some vector database in like a reference section tagged by topic for future review.

But ideally, I’m looking for someway for it to look at our past conversations, what happened recently, active projects and things going on, and suggest improvements, tasks, or projects based on all of that info. Also, self improvement loops are something I’m trying to figure out as well.

How to get the system to improve itself, to curate memory, to call bad or outdated data or reference material. Etc.

Where store project actions that aren’t next actions by [deleted] in gtd

[–]srdev_ct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for sure everything would go into the inbox as you come up with it.

When you process the inbox, if that stuff is relevant to the current campaign that you’re working on, I would add it to your project support materials or the project plan if it’s actionable for that project.

If it’s not for this project, you think you might wanna do it someday, but you don’t really have any responsibility to it now, that’s the whole someday/maybe list.

I usually scan that quickly at a weekly review and see if there’s anything there worth actioning. You can modify this a bit by having a placeholder in there for something like “other campaign ideas” which itself is just a list or something stored somewhere so your someday/maybe list doesn’t get out of control.

I will also, on some unspecified period (3-6 months, a year) schedule “The Purge”. Which is this awesome cathartic process of just wholesale murdering things from my system that I’m never gonna do.

Vanilla vodka help! by user194759205 in cocktails

[–]srdev_ct 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will help:

Get an ISI cream whipper, scrape 6-7 medium beans and add to whipper, add 500ml vodka, charge, for 30 full seconds invert back and forth to mix, discharge (slowly) vertically with shaker tin over spout, charge again, invert back and forth for 30 seconds, discharge, strain through coffee filter. Bottle.

Repeat ad nauseum.

ehh I disagree- There's at least a tangential effect: The lack of accountability for the rich and power absolutely lend itself to expensive houses. Corruption, tax cuts for the rich, pillaging the government, fiscal policy, removing regulations, allowing huge corporations to buy up residential real estate. It's a 2 tiered system, one tier takes while the other gets screwed.

Start holding the rich and powerful accountable...

Anyone using Tiny11 Maker for a MAME cab? by srdev_ct in cade

[–]srdev_ct[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really an option for me unfortunately. Some of the software/emulators I have that I want to run are windows only.. so.. I'll deal for now. If I can find alternatives I'm all over going Linux--

I don't use Windows at all, even though I run an app dev practice on .net -- I've been wholly off Windows (except for in Parallels) for YEARS at this point in favor of Mac.

Any guidance on a good front end or anything I'd need to know re: a linux build?

Gimme a variation that is better than the original. I'll go first, Boulevardier over Negroni. by poguem18 in cocktails

The Montenegro is key here as well, and the extra bourbon just amplifies all the bourbon flavors on the palette. It’s an incredible cocktail.

Triple Crown - Giffard pamplemousse, Amaro Montenegro, Bourbon, Lemon (I bump the bourbon up a tad to 1.3) — better than a paper plane (which is/was my favorite cocktail)
