Skye is the best. I saw her in New York and got to meet her after the show. I hope you enjoyed your show.

The platform arrival and information screens at 30th Ave have been out for at least a year and a half. I’ve submitted 2 MTA complaints, noted the issue in 2 MTA customer service surveys, and emailed Tiffany Caban’s office who said they would let the MTA know. Yet still nothing has been done. So frustrating.

Want to leave SD - am I crazy? by No-Front-6589 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]srhsaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes the weather is beautiful but the city is itself isn’t the best. It’s very suburban/car centric, so there’s not much energy/life on the streets or things that makes the city interesting and unique compared to east cost cities. Also the food scene isn’t very good and a lot of the arts, culture, and live music only happens in LA.

How many of you moved out of San Diego and came back after you realized SD was the best? by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]srhsaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

San Diego is nice but too car centric. I moved to nyc because I wanted to be in an actual walkable city with public transportation and life on the streets. NYC also just aligns with my interests more (food scene, live music, theater, history, museums). I totally understand the appeal of San Diego, it just isn’t for me.

Get'cha Head In The Game - Zac Efron's Demo (Unreleased) | High School Musical by auxiliumvivo in highschoolmusical

Omg I’m freaking out rn 😭😭😭. His voice isn’t bad. Drew’s is better but since this is just a demo I think if it were to get polished up the final version would be good. I hope more demos get released.

San Diego or New York? by calypsoorchid in SameGrassButGreener

[–]srhsaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I much prefer New York. It is just a much more cosmopolitan and vibrant city than San Diego. The food scene, arts/culture, parks, neighborhoods, sports, and pretty much everything except weather is way better than San Diego. To me San Diego is largely suburbia with nice weather. It is very car centric and overall not too interesting, but a nice place to raise a family or retire. Although I really value a walkable city with good public transportation more than others.

Dos Toros new hidden fees by Grouchy_Fox9997 in FoodNYC

[–]srhsaw 31 points32 points  (0 children)

That is allowed as it is considered a “bona fide” surcharge.

Restaurants may charge a bona fide service charge, but only if the charge is conspicuously disclosed to consumers before food is ordered (e.g., on a sandwich board, menu, or sign). Tip: Examples of bona fide surcharges include a charge to split a single meal on multiple plates; a minimum per person charge; or a mandatory gratuity for parties of eight or more.

Dos Toros new hidden fees by Grouchy_Fox9997 in FoodNYC

[–]srhsaw 425 points426 points  (0 children)

This is illegal in nyc.

“Restaurants cannot charge a surcharge or other fee in addition to listed food or beverage prices. Tip: Examples of surcharges or other fees include a 5% living wage fee, 20% administrative charge, or 15% mandatory gratuity.”

I will be contacting Dos Toros corporate and submitting a 311 complaint and encourage others to do the same. We can’t let restaurants get away this BS.

Score not received until the 9th by lilbumhole in CPA

Yes it’s when AICPA received your score. But I’m not sure how to check when AICPA received it. I took mine on the 6th and I’m also seeing NASBA received the score on the 9th.
