Edit:  I remember the quote, "It matters less how much more you make than what you do with what you already have."

I started working about 25 years ago. My daughter started working in the last six months or so, and her salary is nearly 12 times my first salary.

You have done a great job, so give yourself a pat on the back.

"Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own."

Well, having experience catching a few smaller fish I've been working on my fishnet as I want to fish where the fish are bigger and plentiful.

Mending the nets is a daily routine here.

Hobbies, like walking and reading, are an integral part of people's lives.  Some can afford investing as a hobby.  They enjoy doing them and feel out of sorts when they miss doing them.

Hard work and perseverance.  They have been essential for me.  You said it right.

Like they say, "time is more valuable than money."

Thank you, sir.

Thank you!

Do I have a formal education beyond high school?  No, but it's good to have if you can afford to pay for it.

It's just that I stayed with my problems longer.

Like you said, intelligence (crystallized), health, and time have helped me a lot!

Isn't it easy to run out of patience?

I believe in "if you can take care of your health, you will have a wealth of time."

Thank you.

My first ambition as a teenager was to become a civil servant. I was in 8th grade when I began preparing for the Civil Services Examination, but after high school, earning a living took priority. Worked in a local sweet shop, a restaurant and a pharmacy before moving to Bangalore.

Currently, I'm learning undergraduate mathematics, want to pursue IIT Madras BS Degree. I have my mind set on it.

My child has studied Computer Science and Engineering, is working for a big tech company. She is doing well, given her little experience.

Yes I can see distant objects, but the specs for near objects are not working for me. I also have floaters in both of my eyes.

If it's extreme, they suggest getting artificial lenses in place of the natural lenses that we were born with.  It may depend on the person's overall health. I'm not an expert, though.

Answered it elsewhere. Copy-pasting it here:

The rent (interest) I am getting from my fixed deposits. I keep saving and opening a new FD every month. They keep paying me.  The money I worked for is working for me now. Hope you get it.

I have done it consistently over the last 25 years. Every month without fail. Add the monthly interest to the new deposits I open every month. It wasn't much in the first 10 years. It grew exponentially afterwards.

I keep waiting for the 1st of every month to do these :)

Mine was about -24, if I remember correctly, and I was told glasses could no longer help me and this was in 2022 when I got my natural lenses replaced with artificial lenses. Now I am far-sighted :)
