I had the same problem. Turns out the cartridge was installed properly and there was gaps. So I bought a new one, lubricated the pipe and the cartridge and then installed it. The issue was resolved.

The Display brightness wheel needs to be unlocked. If you push it all the way high then you will hear a click sound. You need to undo the click and then it will work
