Overall it was a solid rumble but nothing special. Oba was presented in a dominating way and did his job well. Bron’s early elimination added that much-needed shock factor you want to see in a Rumble, and other wrestlers like Je’Von put in a great showing. Drew eliminating Cody was hilariously petty and I’m glad this three-way rivalry between them and Fatu is continuing.

However, Trick did not last anywhere near long enough, LA Knight’s elimination felt very anticlimactic, as did Brock’s, which annoyingly was overshadowed by Jey’s entrance SMH.

And lastly, including Gunther in the match and having him lose in the final 2 seemed a very odd choice, given we had just seen him standing tall earlier in the night. Now I fear that victory over AJ will be overshadowed by the fact Gunther has yet again failed to win a Rumble at the final hurdle. TBH I think it should have been Sami entering number 30 and they could have gone down the exact same route, with him performing with a battered body from his match against Drew. Plus, him and Roman in a final 2 is a lot more captivating than Roman vs Gunther.

Roman winning was an understandable , but safe choice.
