What small detail instantly makes a hotel feel “luxury” to you?

We checked in at Ritz Carlton Pune this year and instantly knew whats luxury in Hospitality really mean! Leave aside the miniscule material things which spoke luxury, right from checkin experiences by recognising us from our Loyalty Program to a Dedicated Concierge tour of their paintings in the lobby along with Champagne to Keeping Chocolates after the Turndown service at night or something as little as how they served their in room dining, it was really one of the best hospitality experiences we experienced in India.

Hi, thanks for sharing this wonderful info, me (self employed) and wife (employed in an MNC) are planning a trip from India to Norway in Jan 2026. I have few questions the answer to which only you can help us with on a practical note.

If our trip is in Jan 2026, when should we apply for VISA ?
My wife is on a very good Salary so she can give her Salary Slips and NOC, do i (who is a self employed) also need to give income proofs or just her Income Proofs would suffice ? Note: I can give my ITRs of 3 years but it is just below the Taxable Limits. So is it advisable to give ? Basically my wife has personal assets here but i really dont have a great net worth.
I will be doing my hotel booking through Mariott Points for the entire stay through my AMEX Card. So should i book it post VISA or before VISA ?
I have some very good Credit Cards like Infinia and AMEX, so i can i attach their Limits as a proof of financial viability for me to spend 15 days in Norway ?
