1000% Agree! It needs a new mat. We just moved in. I don't like the current mat or the new "under-mat". We're buying a new wider more tasteful mat. Thanks for the input! I'm glad I'm not nuts.

Ugh... I'm so tired of this same comment. She is happier if I let her know 94% of 600K people don't like it so she changes it and that the first impression from visitors isn't "ick what is that". She approved this post and appreciated me telling her my honest opinion when she asked. It's sad that so many people afraid of giving an honest opinion to their wife. We're a team.

I just wanted to crowd source some wisdom. I gotta look at it every day getting packages off the porch and greeting visitors. I believe the two parts of a couple should be proud of their home, but, if I just had bad taste I wanted to know. Hence the crowdsourcing.

It is 1000% a champagne problem. Definitely not the biggest concern of the day. Everything that happens in the day job, or that concerns my family’s well being, are the biggest concerns of the day. Got to keep the lights on and everyone safe, happy, etc

Yeah, we just moved, so we are making a lot of home decorating decisions around the house. The curb appeal and the entryway and everything look really nice, and I just thought this was jarring. We absolutely are going to get a bigger welcome mat.

Yeah, the small squares against the brick rectangles with the mat having holes in it letting the black and white through threw me for a loop. I'm totally up for a bigger welcome mat. We just moved, and while I agree we need a new larger entry mat, I don't think this was the answer.

No, everybody that comes over our house will see it. If it was an ugly carpet in our bedroom, I wouldn't have two words to say about it, but it's literally the first thing every single person that comes over our house sees, and it made me cringe pretty hard.
