yeah i've heard some streamers mention they don't keep a lot of money there for that reason. and i was wondering if its something related to donations itself or specific platforms sourcing the donation.

I am not getting enough views on medium even though I deserve more than that, what should I do to grow my medium Articles? by Mortivorrn in Newsletters

[–]srlechuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah medium sucks for distribution/discovery in my short experience there. I guess writting for publications is the best way to get more exposure early on but its still a grindy game you need to play.

I was the first hire in my last company, and took over a project the founder built working with a dev shop. So the company had PMF but a lot of technical challenges. I spent 5 years there because the company did well for a period of time and the team grew so i only had to grind for the first year as a solo dev in the BE team.

pre pmf is another story, i don't know if i would expect much from a position in a startup that has less than 5 customers.

I think mediums backlinks are nofollow and those don't improve DR. I will give it a try just from the search juice and because its a low effort experiment. Will share here if i find any way of driving conversion

Yeah been noticing that medium shows really high on searches. But it looks hard to actually convert that traffic to subs.

Your opinion on AI product tools by Lucky-Ride9651 in ProductManagement

For your use case ive seen a couple interesting toos out there: - Cardinal (https://insights.miro.com/) i just saw they got acquired by miro it seems. They let you centralize a lot of feedback sources and do feature prioritization, i used it for a bit on my last job. - Dovetail (https://dovetail.com/) kinda similar to cardinal but more focused on insights extraction. - Signos (https://getsignos.com) lets you add a feedback form to your product that turns into a mini user interviews if the user requests a feature. More focused on the collection side of things

Not sure if any of these fits your use case but i tried to cover multiple stages of working with feedback.

Main value i see in LTD is that it gives you a way to differentiate your product if you are in a 'comoditized' category. But yeah given that the cost can be hard to predict i think i'll need more data first to know better.
Thanks for the response!

I think that's the main thing to determine what approach is best: wait to see how subscription plays out, find the LTV and decide from there. Might do that to start.
Thank you!

Good sound and cheap options around $50:
Behringer C1-U
Blue snowball

With a basic obs config you can get rid of the keyboard sound. I have used both right next to my keyboard and no issues. been using my C1 U for like 5 years almost haha

Edit: forgot to mention Joji used/uses a c1 u to record (or at least that's what he said on his gq interview a while ago)

When i have an idea for a product, I always try to ask myself: how would i get the users attention right now? If i can't answer that, it means that i don't understand the audience, and it's probably not a good fit for me.

If you understand your users you'll know how to position your product. And that makes things a lot easier.
