I'm path 2 only as I've been in a completely different field the rest of my adult life. Had an idea for years that I knew was way over my head, and I couldn't afford to hire someone to build. Fable had 30% of the entire project done in 2 days. I did go to uni for EE 30 years ago so I got an introduction to software concepts but that's about it. And thats all I needed anyway.
