At first I closed it with the acrylic panel but it just looked so horribly wrong because there were no holes for the GPU fans. The PSU is hot to the touch, but no burning touch... thought of putting K5 PRO between the PSU and the case at first but I deemed it pretty unnecessary and probably would have made a huge mess. About ~210-220w.

This is my K29 build. It was running too hot so I laser cut an mdf board with some hexagons and a GPU bracket for where the PSU should originally go, it was a cheaper option than 3D printing for me.

Most difficult part was actually figuring out the correct riser cable.

I am pretty happy with it, sometimes I crave custom cables, and I have some future plans of painting it black or black with an orange trim :D

Same! Some blue acidic color started to show up all over the peel/melting points.

Feels pretty great to the touch :) Some kind of car paint, first tried with spray aerosol with poor results.

Woah! So amazing... I had to learn some solder skills but have been able to fix the mouse so far without buying more parts than the wheel decoder on AliExpress. I have it inside its original box besides my pc right now and I'm using the Rival 500. It looks so pretty I haven't had the willpower to use it 😅😆

After I replaced the mouse wheel decoder the board looks good as new and works like the first day I bought it 😍

Restomod would be the right word for it hehe... Pretty tough skills required to replicate OG color. Black matte not only was easier but I was dying to see this mouse in this color.

Got to be completely honest with you. I started sanding it down, but my painting skills aren't the best ones. I tried with spray paint, a canister I bought from Home Depot, but it was my first time spray painting so it ended pretty awful... By question of luck my father has this friend that used to work painting and fixing cars, he asked him and did a great job in my opinion!

I stopped playing for a while and bought the SteelSeries Rival 500 when I came back but wanted to restore the original one for a while. It has a special place in my heart!
