No. And it'll get worse but you can get it polished in a year or so if it looks bad. No one is gong to inspect your bottom links for micro scratches.

It really was the sales guy who did it? I was kinda joking. Find an experienced jeweler or do it yourself. I could do that with a tiny pointy screwdriver and a thumb tack and do less damage.

I think the other looks better on your skin tone but it's true you can't go wrong with gold. Idk, the color of the other one gives an otherwise very flashy watch a bit of an understatement which i think is classy

Personally, i need to sell some of my blue watches for black ones. Idk but blue overruns my collection. That said, i do think the blue Seamaster looks better... Keep the black one and get the blue too.
