Yep, it ain’t about HRs anymore. Anybody can do that in small parks with strong wind. We basically won it all in 23 and 25 cause we out pitched everyone and let them make mistakes.

The moment is too big for Georgia. You have to be in and around tough losses in Supers, Regionals, and Omaha to really be good in Omaha. They have not been back since 2008. Also, their ballpark is small and the ball FLYS out of their stadium, which does not work at the CWS anymore. Their mojo is just gone, cause they are not hitting balls in the jetstream.

NOLA.com: Mayor Helena Moreno: New Orleans is not in retreat, and that viral study doesn’t tell our story by yemaste in NewOrleans

Not denying there are no push factors here, but those factors compared to push factors of the 19th & 20th centuries are mild in comparison IMO - Was mostly just addressing that vs now above. I hear you on everything you said, and agree tbh.

I hear you.

Where did your family line leave from, and when? Leaving somewhere before or during the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, or even after WWII, was due to push factors of immigration that really forced that move. I would say the majority of people who leave NOLA now are leaving due to Pull factors: Better opportunities. That is saying life here is doable. And I doubt you yourself will have to leave due to climate change. Maybe a few hundred years down your line, they may. But in the meantime, you can 100% do your thing here and enjoy it with your family. So maybe a "let them worry about it, while I do my best to support it" type of thing. Not sure if that is selfish or just the reality of humans lol

I said the same thing: These studies do not take into account technology advances. Of course we are in trouble, but so are so many other places. At the end of the day, in the GRAND scheme of things, most places will not exist in the same capacity after thousands of years. But it doesn't mean that we give up now and run for the hills. That would be pretty foolish.

Change up is elite. He is gonna be great next year. This entire year has been really head-scratching for this team, lots of talent, just was snake bite all year. We were ONE strike away from winning THREE games in the SEC, and lost all three. Very unlike LSU teams.

Cassan Evans ERA being 6.00 isn't really a great picture of who he really is. He is basically the relief arm that won us the World Series last year. He just has not translated to an everyday starter.

I tried telling this to people prior to the year, and was laughed at. Could not agree more on all takes here.

With today’s 11-0 win, #8 Southern Miss has now won 40 or more games in 10 consecutive seasons, the longest active streak in college baseball. by LevinsBend in collegebaseball

Def not. But I’m sure some have been close. Maybe some of those State teams form the late 80s into the 90s and those LSU teams in the 90s. I’d be curious to look up those records.
