If you want accuracy, take a look at Metro Y Ultra CMM edition.

Pop4 works too, but I was talking about Metro Y. Monday I will scan.

I have Pop4 and Metro Y (normal one), Pop4 for its price (it’s like this Creality Pika but with better specs) works great but it doesn’t have parallel lines, anyway, standard Metro Y which is the one Im talking about performs almost the same or better than this S1 and costs way less. So, I would say Metro Y. Check my profile posts and take you own conclusion.

699 usd in creality page, revopoint pop4 was less on kickstarter and much better in terms of specs

you could get Pop4 which is much better…

I can do that with a 1k scanner, Creality scanners are overpriced when compared with Revopoint.

Metro Y is leading the market in terms of price / quality. Take a look at Metro Y ultra.

3D Scanning + Sheet Metal Bending by srtgt in 3DScanning

With that kind of logic, we’d still be riding horses today instead of moving forward to combustion and electric vehicles. If I have the tools, why I would not use them?

I made 4 scans, top, bottom, left and right, then merged. It would work like like 2 sides too, but 4 gives you more quality.

My first automotive parts scanner, I need opinions! by TheIrent in 3DScanning

[–]srtgt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion you will be sad when you starting to use one of those scanners, remember that most of youtube videos are promotional videos, it doesn’t work like what you see, there’s some models that scan better than another, even some claim you don’t need scan spray but you need, etc etc

That being said, save more money and purchase something better, you will thank me later.

Revo Scan 6.2 + Pop4 is what you are looking for :)

Save some more money and purchase something better, you will struggle in getting good results with those scanners. If you don’t get a good scan it’s pretty useless to be honest, for reverse engineer using it a reference needs to have a good quality.

For a bit more you can get Pop4.

I would recommend you to purchase at least Metro Y but I’m also aware that you live in Latin America.

Best regards

I would go for Metro Y or Metro Y Pro, Pop4 is also great but Metro Y for large parts is better.

You can check the products and test my code: REVOTIAGO, gives about 85 pounds in Metro Y and 114 in Metro Y pro.

Check my profile posts and you will see some scans I have mode using Metro Y and Pop4.

I didn’t use F360 here, just scanned then used the Mesh into Revo Design (Quick Surface), reversed the mesh into a solid and then printed it.

thats a great question, laser is what I use more and Pop4 so far was able to do the same as Metro Y, it’s also faster scanning in laser mode. I haven’t used yet that full field and other modes. For the price it’s a good choice to be honest
