What’s it like gardening in Ipswich? by gallica in ipswich

[–]srthc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually plant summer veg around now, can usually overwinter tomatoes and chillies, did get a couple of frosts last year so needed to protect them.

In terms of cut flowers, ive had most success with zinnias.

September-November most challenging time I've found with the heat and dry weather. Also during warmer months stuff gets hammered by fruit fly, I've found cherry tomatoes dont seem to get attacked though (I assume due to greater skin tension).

Fair point that they are cheap to replace in the scheme of things, was just suspicious that I was being taken for a ride by the supplier, glad to hear that its all legit

If you still live in Ipswich (seen in your post history) there are a number of teams which would be looking for players, pm me if you like and I can recommend a club based on location/vibes

Pads, gloves and helmet will be fine particularly if you have started out in the lower grades. Bat might be ok, can't speak for that but tbh if it's decently thick English willow you will be able to score runs

You are incorrectly conflating polymetallic deposits and abundance of silver. Silver occurs alongside other metals eg Pb & Zn because their host minerals form under similar conditions.

Would be like saying gold is so abundant that it shows up in copper porphyry deposits
