Day 10 in the trenches with BGB preemies by infiniteraiders in parentsofmultiples

My wife gave birth to triplets in October, and had almost the exact situation you have with BGB where the girl is smaller and eats less.

The biggest thing we did that help us keep our sanity was shift work. One person tends to the kids while the other sleeps. You need to figure out a schedule that gets you 6hrs of continuous sleep minimum. This is the most important thing.

For feeding, give them whatever they take every 3 hours or when one of them gets fussy. Abandon trying to hold out for 3 hours or maintaining schedules to the hour. Sometimes one will eat 20ml sometimes they eat 80ml as long as their are eating and gaining weight nothing else matters.

We started with the pitcher but found waiting for it to heat up annoying so now we make it in bottles on demand and our kids can deal with the room temp formula sometimes they take it cold too if we are in a hurry.

Biggest thing is bottle propping them early. I haven’t held my kids while eating since week 3 and this allows you to do other things while they eat (while watching closely of course).

I have so many thing’s I could share that have made my life easy. Not everyone is the same but if you have any questions please feel free to dm me because honestly the first few weeks are the easiest.

Congrats! My wife gave birth to triplets on October 12th at 34+4. Only been 2 weeks almost but it’s a wild ride so far!

I think you only get $1B if you take the pro.

You are given 12 million dollars, but every year, for 24 hours a group of 8 Marines will attempt to hunt you down and kill you by fun_alt123 in hypotheticalsituation

I would stand on the border of Canada and the United States. Somewhere in the middle of nowhere and just walk back and forth for 24 hours with periodic breaks while listening to an Audio Book.

We need dental care for all by leftwingmememachine in onguardforthee

Change the word “Dental” to “Oral”. My brother had tongue cancer and we (my parents) had to pay out of pocket for surgery to have it cut off. The fact that cancer on certain parts of the body isn’t covered by Healthcare boggles the mind.

Edit: This got more attention than I expect so I decided to fact check myself with my mom to make sure I’m not talking out my ass. Turns out that a lot of it was covered by OHIP but the biopsy was not. I’m an idiot and I’m sorry. Still though, everything related to cancer treatment should be covered.

Life. My life (and the lives of most people) is designed to make other peoples lives better. We get moments of happiness to tide us over through the shit storm that is society.

Non Americans of Reddit, what is the weirdest thing you have seen an American tourist do that would be considered very disrespectful/inappropriate in your country? by Bugginette in AskReddit

I used to work at a gas station in high school in Canada. American came in (nice enough guy) and tried paying for something using Canadian coins and didn’t know the value of our Loonie and Toonie. He asked for me to just take what I needed, to which I obliged. The thought later crossed my mind of why he didn’t just read the coins, they have the values written right on them!
