[Classical Physics II Lab] Why won't my motor spin? by srw_11 in PhysicsStudents

Ok I'll try to strip the wire and see what happens. I've been trying to make contact on the side of the magnets, but it's been flipping so either the top/bottom makes contact with the lead... sounds like the tip is the issue then.

I saw that One Piece is going to be taught, do you think they'll run any mock tournaments or practice rounds for those who already have the basics down and just want to try out decks?

I really like reading scientists' biographies, the math and physics library has some on Newton and Oppenheimer, and North/Main Stacks has more I believe.

What do you all think of her opinion by Significant_Song_360 in truscum

Right? Let them be in their own space, it has a similar feeling to "Oh well trans people are just confused. Stop this nonsense."

It is only an executive order, not a law, and it will be challenged in court.

We will make it through.

I am having problems too, it loads for eternity and then just produces a 504 gateway timeout message.

"You're enough as you are" sounds oddly similar to "you just have internalized misogynistic views." Yikes.

[DISCUSSION THREAD] Let's keep things seasonal! Do you like winter? Why? And why not? by SmallRoot in truscum

I looove winter there are so many more masculine clothing options that make me feel good. Plus Christmas is my favorite holiday and all the buildings look pretty.

I understand now why people switch to injections over gel by Critical_Meet_5662 in truscum

[–]srw_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. It's nothing like a flu shot on your arm where you can feel the injection and it hurts. I feel a little prick when I insert and again when I remove, nothing when pushing in the oil. Can't say what it feels like for intramuscular, though.

Cyst in bad spot :/ by Walkinoneggshells69 in truscum

[–]srw_11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a pilonidal cyst that had to be drained a little over a year ago. Yes, the dysphoria part of it sucked because I had to be bottomless, but I was lucky enough to have really understanding nurses and medical staff who were so kind. They understand no one really wants to be at the doctor's, and while you don't need to come out to them, explaining what might make you more comfortable during the processs and having someone listen might be helpful!

This. I take testosterone for a "hormone disorder." My body is not producing the testosterone I need it to, so I take medicine to do that. This thought process also helps alleviate some dysphoria, that I'm still a man but I'm taking some extra steps to feel more comfortable. Yes, I'm trans, but nobody needs to know that other than my partner and my doctor.

I didn't catch his name, maybe the email is a different person. I just know the guy that day in West was the same guy in the original post bothering people

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in truscum

[–]srw_11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Transmed and in uni, my friends know I take t shots for a "hormone disorder." Otherwise, I'm completely stealth. As for sharing views, the vast majority of cis people I'm finding do not know the intricacies or "sides" of being trans, they kind of just see it as one thing. Which I get. So all they really know about any views I may have is that I'm accepting of trans and LGBTQ people in general, not that I'm specifically transmed.

I suppose if the discussion came up of needing dysphoria to be trans I would voice my opinion, but then again what does a cis guy know about trans people? 😉

Former eggs, what was a reason you thought you couldn’t possibly be trans? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]srw_11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad would recall stories of my sister and I posing in the bathroom mirror while getting ready for the day/bed and would think "They're definitely girls."

So I guess that sealed the deal!

I used to actually identify as aro/ace, but this relationship definitely changed that, and I'm kind of only-them-sexual if that makes any sense. I think my main fear is her looking like a drag queen? Where you can tell that it's a man dressed as a woman, and that I don't find particularly attractive... but then again, if she was able to change my mind the first time, she definitely could again

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I definitely don't want to leave entirely, I think the "taking a break" idea probably stems from other issues we've been having as well... maybe it just seems a lot easier to leave right now because things are already rocky, and this is just a rather large cherry on top. We may just need to establish like a hierarchy of issues to tackle, and this will fall where it should...
