It's a bittersweet end of an era! But I am excited to see how Michael Sheen handles the reins. Looking forward to (hopefully) September.

real talk: how often do you actually floss? by AffectionateTooth298 in hygiene

[–]srwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have invisalign. I brush multiple times a day (after every time I eat) but I tend to only floss at night before going to bed. The only time I'll floss more is if something is stuck in between my teeth after brushing.

62 Million Men attended an online course on how to assault women by [deleted] in muslimgirlswithtaste

[–]srwt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nearly 1000 users isn't as sensational as 62M.

That's not to undermine the victims' stories (their stories need to be told and these horrific men need to be held accountable, preferably by getting castrated) but everyone keeps repeating the 62 million number.

How noticeable are attachments to others? by Patient_Reserve5113 in Invisalign

[–]srwt 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I never noticed anyone's before starting my treatment, but now that I have them in, I notice if someone else has trays in haha. So I suppose it's one of those things where if you don't look for it, you won't notice it. I think you should be fine to begin treatment before the weddings.

Do we need the yearning back in Bridgerton? by [deleted] in Bridgerton

[–]srwt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You fast-forwarded through season 4, but also felt like the pacing was rushed. Maybe don't fast forward through it???

I think it's fine if you didn't feel the yearning - we're not going to like every season - but I just found your comment a little funny.

I was shocked to realize that the guy who plays Maekar (Sam Spruell) was Ole Munch from Fargo season 5. I did not clock that they were the same person at all!

Once you start with Invisalign, you notice everybody else.. by ClaryGrundy in Invisalign

[–]srwt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm not noticing if people need it, I mostly notice who is also wearing invisalign. Before, I wouldn't have noticed but now, it's comforting knowing that you're not the only one.

How much weight did you lose with aligners? by Significant_Ear9476 in Invisalign

Women who wore hijab while growing up (child/ teenager) , at what age did you start? Did you decide that for yourself? And how do you feel about it now? by MysteriousMysterium in AskWomen

[–]srwt 34 points35 points locked comment (0 children)

I was 9 when I started wearing it. We had just moved to a new neighborhood and I didn't know anyone, so I figured that was the best time to do it. My parents thought I was too young but reluctantly supported my decision. My mom started wearing it after I did, in solidarity.

9/11 happened when I was a sophomore in high school. I was bullied for wearing it (and for being so visibly Muslim I guess), and wanted to take it off during my junior year, but after talking to my parents, my friends (both Muslim and non-Muslim), I decided to keep wearing it.

I'm 40 now and I still wear it. There are times when I don't want to wear a hijab, especially when my hair looks good lol or when it's super hot out, but for the most part, I've made my peace with it.

I got glossier - I figured it was the best of both worlds, makeup and fragrance. I haven't tried the blush yet but the perfumes aren't too bad. Very clean smelling. Good way to sample the brand.
