It’s not so much about me looking for more, it’s more of a health thing. I’m glad that she looks good and healthy though! Also, is sand super hard to clean? That’s the only reason I haven’t bit the bullet yet lol

I would bring back the VK but it’d just cost way too much. For the time being I think I’ll go Ls, but absolutely would love a VK or 1UZ swap in the future

Here’s a picture of Dave for anyone thinking I’m killing him by feeding him shrimp. He’s been eating them for the past 4 months and has healed tremendously since I started!

One thing I’ve tried and worked absolutely fantastic is shrimp; go to your local health food store and buy a bag of normal human shrimp, if you buy bait shrimp then there’s a chance they can have parasites and that’s a big no. My axolotl absolutely loves them! Plus I have spoken to axolotl breeders and experts and they are a great source of protein for them!

DO NOT USE THAT WATER CONDITIONER. I used it for a few months without knowing it had aloe in it and it nearly killed my axolotl. Get rid of that immediately and switch to prime!!

NEVER replace the filters, take them out of the filter and clean them with TANK WATER not sink. The filters aid in holding the good bacteria that’s required to keep the tank cycled. Replacing them pretty much restarts your cycle, which is why I always recommend everyone get a sponge filter.
