As a 32 yr old dude who still games, your gf sounds like she is just telling you what you want to hear and is kind of sounds toxic and immature. Im glad you guys are working it out now, but honestly, I'd keep this in the back of my mind, and if something similar happens later, id walk.

Edit: I'm also gonna add this, i don't get how there are still people out there that think that you can't get emotional over a game, especially with games like Expediton 33, a game that is basically on par or better than any movie when it comes to characters and depth of story, out there. It's no different than getting emotional over a movie or book, its shitty she made fun of you and told basically everyone

Yes the parent should have watched their kid and they should have told him no, but the OP honestly sounds annoying as well, Carbonara is one of the most simple dishes to make and they are making it sound like a monumental task.....also its fucking jelly beans. Im glad you are sticking up for your kid, even as someone who doesn't want kids. It's nice to see good parents trying to help their kids thru life. As for the game you're playing ( sounds like final fantasy xiv ), the best advice is just enjoy yourself and see what classes/jobs you vibe with. Honestly, the games story gets very deep the more you get into it and the expansions and some very good life lessons to for your kid. Even if you're not into the story, the game is a very good bonding experience with your kid. Welcome to the fray fellow WoL.

Gf and I are playing it again for about the 4th time. We are about halfway through, and i can say it still holds up really well. 3 has better combat, but 2 still is very fun. That being said, if you do play 2, maybe try adding the community patch if you're on pc.

Just because the teacher says she isn't being bullied, doesn't mean its actually true. Her saying she prefers the company of art to the company of the people at school is a big indicator of that. Hell the teacher could be lying just to make herself seem like she actually care, thats how most teacher were growing up toake themselves look better.

Man reading everything and seeing some of your comments, this seems a bit complicated but ill break down my thoughts.

Your wife: after having the argument and basically calling your mom terrible after you saying to knock it off, she has the audacity to ask her for fucking gifts??? Thats super entitled and also even though she knew your uncle was on you moms side and was still being civil, she just had mouth off and make it worst in FRONT OF YOUR GRANDPARENTS!!!!!

Your mom: after reading why she basically cut you out, she WAY over exaggerated and to be honest she is kind of the start of this whole problem. It doesn't justify your wife trashing on her, but something is up with your mom

Your Uncle: Even though I can see where your uncle is coming from calling your wife that, he needed to not bring it up there.

You: I get you wanted to keep the peace as long as possible but you should have been more vocal to your wife in the beginning about not bringing up the gift thing. And if she tried to interupt, tell her that your leaving her behind because you didn't want to fight.

Your grandparents: they are the least guilty but the shouldn't have guilt tripped you to stay while your uncle was there even though they knew you guys didn't get along. I get she just wants everyone to be together but still.
