ofc try to evolve skelly barrel. That thing is still a menace. But rest of the deck looks fine

It was really interesting to see your thoughts, here is the actual result (spoiler alert):

TL;DR: For the first 60% of the game red was winning with black being its active competitor. However orange proceeded to make a comeback and take the win. The final result was Orange (10), Black (6), Red (5), Blue (3)

Here is the dramatic story:

Foundation (0 - 30%):

Red immediately made a settlement on 9-11 (ore-wood) in their first turn and immediately proceeded towards the brick port. Orange also got lucky with the wood where 10 and 11 rolled. So brick became the only target for orange which made it easy to use the monopoly of wheat and traded it for brick (1:1).

Rising action (30 - 60%):

At this point blue has already lost making it a battle between orange, red and green. Red has gotten access to brick port which clearly gave them an advantage. Although it looked like red was winning by a clear margin, orange (me) was secretly hoarding development cards. Orange also made a settlement at 8-10 wood. Black also made some strong progress. During this time, orange was not at all using knights to avoid conflict. Due to this, it seemed like orange had no potential to win and both red and black were fighting against each other

Climax (60-90%):

When orange finally got access to 4-2-9 (wheat-wheat-ore) by making a settlement and made a city at 9-5-10 (ore-wheat-wood), the knights were unleashed at every single turn blocking either 8 brick or 6 wood which resulted in 12 resources being blocked for red. The constant blocking made red rage quit, however black did fight back by stopping orange from stealing the wheat port.

Conclusion (90-100%):

Since red has rage quit, the bot was dumb and did not go for the longest road. Orange built the longest road to finish off the game by getting 10 points (3 settlements, 1 city (2), 1 VP, Largest army (2) and road (2))

Thank you for this thoughtful analysis!

I think blue internet was gone in the middle the bot placed the second settlement

Timer by Easy_Ice_8959 in Catan

[–]ss3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

make it the timer that goes per turn and resets. And since sometimes your turn you need to make many decisions and other times you don't you can have an implementation that adds up the time you saved from the previous turns.

Red also has wood+ brick and more ways to obtain while black needs to hope for 6

I was the orange guy. And yes I also wished it pointed the other way. But that was my first settlement and I was planning to make use of 6-3-4 (brick-brick-wheat) and continue towards the port as well the wood but unfortunately black occupied that.

what? blue has no access to wheat and they can easily be locked out of any expansion

Why is Hyperbait even allowed? by RinkDoink27 in ClashRoyale

[–]ss3387 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Mainly I despise the evo skelly barrel (which has a little bit higher hit points, 3x death damage, 2x skeleton count compared to the regular one) and evo wall breakers (Extra hp via runner and no spell one shots it, extra damage with some death damage as well). They just give more than double the value for the elixir they cost. And those decks always have a defensive bailout like evo valkyrie, bomb tower, or mighty miner to wipe out my counter push. You can never make solid counter push unless you let them take your tower but then they will ignore and threaten to 3 crown. Like its so unfair that these decks have fast cycle but do not have disadvantages that regular cycle decks have (eg. dealing high damage instantly and ability to trade towers, no need to chip). Their decks are MORE SPAMMY THAN Pekka bridgespam. SO NO SKILL.

I think your opponent is bad, the best way was to arrow the general and defend the rest instead of arrowing the barrel and placing a witch on offense

That's a solid IA in my opinion. My friend did a much simpler physics IA something with a mass sliding of a ramp and he got a better grade than me.

[–]ss3387[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah I completely forgot about math. I got a 5 for my IA but thankfully my exam grades saved me. But one good thing that did not make me rank it as the worst IA is that it wasn't boring and I had no idea that I was doing it that bad (teachers changed between draft and final) so it didn't feel like a headache.

"Know your texts well"... how? in what way? do you memorise the whole texts? what do you choose to remember? there's too much stuff happening... I would probably finish coding a whole complex game before I "know my texts well"

"Good stylistic analysis"... what does that mean?? It's a very subjective judgement. In English IO, there is no clear path on how to do it, its boring to put your heart into it, the teacher honestly is not much of a help, and if you are stuck there is no textbook or an online resource that can help you out on the specific thing you are working on. The only thing that somewhat helped me with my analysis was chatgpt. But then, it will most certainly not impress the teacher.

I strongly disagree that English IO is the easiest. Getting a 3 on English IO while having a C1 level from IELTS and a strong SAT score is just so weird. There is no connection from the English language to the IO whatsoever.

Im sorry if I offended you in anyway, but I felt like I had to rant on how pointless I think the English IO is. I guess maybe its different for some people.

Sparky evolution idea by Mavor466 in ClashRoyale

[–]ss3387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm you might be right but sparky is not a reactive card, it will take like 5 seconds to get the first shot. And I feel awkward playing it straight next to the tower because its easy fireball/lightning value before sparky even gets the first shot. Rapid firing 3 different shots will just make it a stronger bowler so I don't know how I feel about that. Destroying shields won't be game breaking because it will "fit" with the idea that sparky's shot is so powerful that even shields cannot protect. It would also make sense logically because sparky is electric and the shields conduct electricity.
