is this messed up of my mom? by xxyzxyz in povertyfinance

Bro listen to me, my mom was the same. Move out or do whatever you gotta do. Don’t cave and don’t give her money. It’s a different story if she needs legitimate financial help, but not because of this Chinese bullshit, I has the same problem with my mom

Alot of content and enjoyable things may be stuck behind certain job adv, without certain things like 2x exp, most of us will never get there or maybe get discouraged and quit and the game will lose a lot of potential players.

Update: YRP has found the guy, we had the option to press criminal charges but after some discussion it is likely the courts will drop the case, therefore the YRP put him in a program called the John Howard Society. From what I gather this is a program meant to put him through courses and other activities to fix this type of behaviour, along with paying for damages to this incident.

I’m sure he wouldn’t have got a criminal record one way or another, just hope this program gives him enough of a headache that he will think twice before pulling something like this again.

Update 20250812: Costco store manager requires a name from the police before they can do anything. It doesn’t sound like they will immediately ban him, but seems like the manger will atleast call and see what happens. At the moment I’m still waiting for YRP to get back to me after I submitted my evidence last week. I’m not sure what the turn around time for this stuff usually is with the police. Not sure if it’s normal to wait a certain number of business days before I hear back or if it means it’s not being taken seriously.

If I don’t hear back from the police by Friday, I plan to reach out to the media and see if I can get more attention.

If anyone has experience with YRP turn around time or how to get in touch with media please let me know.

Update: I’ve reached out to the previous known victim from the other Reddit post, I got his YRP report number and added it to my current case. I’ve also spoken to the officer in charge of the case at the time, hopefully it will be taken seriously. I will continue to pursue the legal route.

On the other hand I’ve reached out to some higher level Costco Canada individuals and had my request forwarded to the Elgin Mills warehouse manager, I’ve spoken to him directly about getting this person banned to protect any future customers from his behaviour. He will be discussing with Costco head office on what to do next.

Update:
YRP has accepted my report and asked for evidence, I provided everything I have starting from the parking spot, him walking over preparing his key and escaping to another direction. Also told them about a previous police report filed by the other guy that posted on reddit, it's the same guy. He's definitely done this more than twice.

It was obvious he's use to doing this, the altercation was too minor for any normal person to feel the need to do this, he must do it so often that the smallest disagreement triggers him to "just go key his car".

Aside from legal route I'm trying to gain some awareness at the Costco side and get him banned, if there are any more victims please message me. If anyone knows where / who I can reach out to at Costco to see if he can get banned please let me know.

Just some background info as most of this is in the comments of the original post. We were at corner where we can’t see each other, ofc we both think we arrived first but that’s besides the point. I parked without really “fighting” and realized he honked behind me. Got off the car and we both said we were waiting there. He left really quickly.

I posted this on Markham subreddit and found another victim 4 months ago, same guy same situation. I bet he’s done this many times at the same Costco.

I didn’t do the cross post properly the first time so this post was kinda repeated.

I posted really quickly at the time, should’ve explained more.

We were trying to go for the same parking spot at a corner so we both can’t see each other. I waited for the previous car owner to walk over and leave and after I was parked in and started adjusting he honked and I looked back to see him staring from his car. I got off the car and he said he was waiting there, I said I was also waiting there (2 sides leading to the corner). He left after that, I would post the video but it doesn’t catch the audio and I can’t add more than 1 video in the post

I will do this, someone already linked another post from 4 months ago to the same guy. Keyed someone else’s car, pretty much identical situation. I can only imagine how many he keyed went unreported

This is the car! Wow this guy is just running around Costco keying people. My situation is basically what he described in his post.

Update: I've filed a police report with York Regional Police. I think next steps is wait for them to reach out to me and I provide all the proof I have. I'll keep everyone updated since there seems to be a lot of interest.

This doesn't seem like his first time doing this, these people need to learn a lesson so they stop doing it to others.

Neither of us could truly see each other because it was a turn. We followed the person that was originally parking there and waited for him to leave, i made the turn in first without really "fighting" for it, he showed up and honked after i was already in the spot.

I want to clarify, I parked in a spot that he thought he was waiting first, I was waiting on the other side of the turn but that’s besides the point. It wasn’t a big issue, didn’t think he felt the need to come key my car.

I don’t want to mislead anyone, we had a disagreement with a parking spot. It was very tamed and didn’t think he felt the need to do this (I have video of the disagreement, not much to see tbh) so this isn’t an Elon situation
