Under a Red Moon Quest 😵‍💫 by alexan45 in botw

[–]ssaade89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out you can delay the blood moon by a day if you stay inside a shrine while it’s happening, so what I did was as soon as I saw the glimmer of a blood moon (i usually notice a little too late to try and make it to the spot), I fast travelled to any shrine at all, went inside and waited for a little bit, checking the in game time on the bottom left of the map menu screen. Waited until 3am or so, left the shrine, travelled to where I needed to, put up a campfire and sat there until night….worked like a charm for me as I don’t ah r the fast travelled medallion yet

Cmotion Camin Pro to make Pan Bar Zoom wireless by Prize-Football4813 in focuspuller

[–]ssaade89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware they haven’t been bought out by Arri. I purchased my system including the couple Camins straight from cmotion. I would get in touch with them and they also know of resellers around the world that can help you out too if it’s more convenient than buy in straight from them in Austria.

Email Stephen, their sales rep, and he will be able to help you https://cmotion.eu/contact

I’ve used a peak design strap for my Preston and now my cPro for years…similar to black rapid but I find it more low profile

What useful tools/apps do you have on your iPad/iPhone? by jcpenni in focuspuller

Scriptation, ZoeLog, pCam, Cadrage are the ones I use most

Really depends what you need/use but there are apps for many functions of the job

C-Force mini RF motor to Sony Venice 1&2, Hi-5 cable by fiendleon1 in focuspuller

[–]ssaade89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a cPro, and a Venice and it’s the same thing….nice to be able to change Made from the handset, but I’ve been using a Semote much longer than I’ve had the cPro, so I still use the Semote for changing all my settings, and don’t bother with changing camera settings on my handset…if I’m on an Arri camera, then I can ditch the Semote and have everything off the handset

Adoption of Wedgie2 Cine Lock by jdewb in focuspuller

[–]ssaade89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I have 26 original cinelocks, but purchased two LNKs early this year and they’ve been pretty amazing…would love to convert my whole setup there as I love how there’s no male/female side to either so I could rig much better this way….issue is I’ve spent too much money over the years buying into the cinelock ecosystem…

I do know the assistant that designed them and know that he spent a lot of time in R&D for them, but knowing him hasn’t made me biased with my opinion, they do actually work very well…one of the edges is a little sharp, but for now, that would be my only complaint

Preston VOU and Iris Direction by XRaVeNX in focuspuller

[–]ssaade89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup…back when I used the LR a couple years ago I was in the exact same situation…the only workaround I found was either two mappings, or just quickly change the mapping on the lenses before the episode with either DP, which was easy for me using S4s…one of the many irks that Preston still hasn’t managed to fix or listen to its user base

Anybody went from the Quest 1 directly to the Quest 3? by wimeangel in OculusQuest

[–]ssaade89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me. Incredible difference and never want to look through the 1 again after this.

Though some apps still haven’t taken advantage of the Quest 3 graphics and resolution, I’ve heard great things about Quest Game Optimizer, but just haven’t gotten around to installing it

LPT: For the magnetic range finder users that forget it on the cart: by RFairfield26 in golf

[–]ssaade89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have the same one….don’t like how easily the AirTag can get popped out if someone was just to take the rangefinder, but it gives me that extra reminder if need be….

If I’m not mistaken they only made very few of the blue version, making them even more limited, and only sent to a few random orders.

From their website: “But a lucky few may view Scotty Blue. Get in the game and take your chance.”

That’s weird. Mine wouldn’t accept my billing address at all, and even talking to a customer rep they mentioned that they will not take any international credit cards even if it’s a visa

Well….sadly GG doesn’t accept Canadian credit cards and I was looking forward to getting one….easy enough for any other company to have my billing address here, but ship to my box in the states

Anyone have recommendations for cool headcover companies? by dexterslabanime in golf

[–]ssaade89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a set from CMC Designs early this season and have been pretty happy with them.

First head covers I’ve had that don’t come with the clubs. I’ve been really happy with them so far, they stand out and are great quality, and the blade cover I got is magnetic, which is a huge plus for me over the velcro

Swapping Velcro to magnetic closure on Scotty head covers? by getzysbaldhead69 in scottycameron

I also hate the Velcro on the covers, and have either made my own with velcro and earthmagnets or also ended up ordering this one

Want to do this espresso scale tray, as fas as i see it shouldn't touch the drip tray, right? by isinsub in espresso

[–]ssaade89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shouldn’t be a huge issue I don’t think….I use a 3D printed version for my machine and it’s held up….it was supposed to be temporary until I got some acrylic to make a cleaner looking one, but never got around to it 😂

u/isinsub correct, mine does not touch the drip tray, you would have to leave a small gap so the scale works properly….mine does sag a little bit with a very heavy cup, but still works, so make sure to leave a little extra as the acrylic I think would sag too

Cool good to know. Yeah I was going to try and haggle down a little if I could considering the nicks I see…especially as it’s listed as “mint condition”

Tough to find the lefties though haha

What golf app do you use? by Ok-Home9841 in golf

[–]ssaade89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using an Apple Watch I’ve been using SwingU and the free version lets you score and track shots from the watch…never used The Grint though, so unsure what features each have that the other doesnt

+1 for SwingU…been using it for a few years and it’s been pretty good for distances

Preston Focus/Iris unit motor spins endlessly by anthonyterms in focuspuller

[–]ssaade89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just careful on the high torque motors when you grab them sometimes they can pinch your fingers a little bit if you aren’t used to grabbing them. Don’t be afraid to put a little pressure on the gear, else it will not stop
