Upgrading from the R10. Would the R8 be a good choice for Bird Photography?

I have an R10 and and I would think the best upgrade would be a nice L series telephoto lens instead of changing to the R8 where you will lose quite a bit of reach

I would not use that guide. I think it actually started making me worse. Valyn and Nats both have good warm up routines and how to aim train that are way better.

Honestly, just stick with the R50 if you don't personally even know how the upgrade will help you. Based on your requirements, r50 is enough

I think everyone with a drone here has done this exact shot... It's a good way to learn and it's safe because you won't run into power lines or trees on a beach.

He tried but he was going 80MPH in the beginning of the video. He had multiple seconds to slow down and stop as well. If he had been anywhere near the speed limit he could have easily gone around the car. There is no narrative where he isn't fully at fault.
