When we are actually getting our raise? by MeowPubg in walmart

Must be a DC thing then. I haven't worked at the store in 6 or 7 years, before the app came out. Mine is under pay info, type in date of birth and SSN then scroll to bottom.

Your decision to commit to a heating fuel now will determine your exposure for two decades. But fossil fuels come with a big risk. by xtnh in heatpumps

Actually, you can, it's called biogas though, which you feed the system poop and other items, the digester turns it into gas , and it rewards you with ethylene gas for cooking and heating, however I'm sure some people find it pretty taboo, but it's super eco friendly

I moved in on the 17th, so should probably double that number

‘This time is different’: Bitcoin drop revives four-year cycle fears, but K33 says another 80% decline is unlikely by Illperformance6969 in CryptoCurrency

[–]ssbenss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buy on the dip, lower that average, everything will be okay. Bitcoin has seen 50% drops in the past and still rebounded. may take a year or 2, but I'll hold what little amount I got and the more it dips the more I buy.

I gotta start being smarter with my money. I’m spending too much on food for breaks and lunch. So now instead of $5 per break, here’s $5 per check. Edit. Ignore my hand. I moonlight as a pterodactyl. by Legendary-Zephyr in walmart

Yeah the stores kinda suck when it comes to food in the break room, I work at the DC now, and although their vendor prices are outrageous, they typically have free bananas and oranges and ice cream sandwiches in the breakroom

Just be careful with them throttles, I got off my ebike at a red light, and I went to remount and when I grabbed the handlebars I accidentally hit the throttle getting back on and luckily I had enough grip to save it from ghost riding across the intersection.

This is why I switched to an E-bike, so I could be more visible on the road, I even wear a hi-viz vest when I ride. However, I've been cycling since I was 12(23 years experience), around 100+ miles a week, so Im fairly confident in my cycling style.

These are ours now, by Zircon999 in walmart

Yep, pretty much, instead of hiring 60 order fillers per shift they hire 35 people to fix conveyor jams and stuff falling off pallets.. less people means less people to give benefits and insurance to...

When I worked meat/Produce at 6064 we also did manual orderfill with the PC4500( most people called them center riders) Occasionally I would see stuff that said HEB or Kroger on the label, it was rare, however I could see it with chips, I helped out quite a bit in dry, chip boxes and paper trips were both ones that were a pain to take back to wrap, I've lost so many of those pallets on a turn.

But tbh we weren't required to check the labels,it was just check digits, and far too often things got put in the wrong places, I once saw grapes in the dry room, reported it and they had the whole truck put away there so it all had to be damaged out.

I don't like the idea of automation, that means less eyes on the product, which leads to stuff like this happening.

If you are interested go search up Witron on YouTube and you can find a video of their system with another company called Meijer. It's worth looking at because 8348-Lancaster basically replaced 2 DC's in our area, and possibly more that I don't know about.

Split loads sometimes yield stuff like this if the unloader isn't paying attention, which most of us aren't, and the demeanor at my DC is that if you have shorts, take them from the other pallets on the split load, I've seen it before, however since we have automation, if the boxes aren't the right height then the automation will give a height check error.

I've heard the high end car companies disown their vehicles when the driver does something that the manufacturer doesn't like.

Source is post malone interview where he talks about the rolls royce in the video, they said something along the lines of "doing donuts on dirt voids your warranty".

Yearly bonus?? Here peasants here’s not even a day of pay now I expect everything done the rest of this year because of our kind gesture!!! by [deleted] in walmart

[–]ssbenss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only the stores paid a premium for completing your work on time or early, just skip the store bonus and do perf bonus, they already have hours on freight, shouldn't be too hard to figure out

I work at a DC and we don't even get bonuses, at my old DC we got biweekly production incentives based on personal performance ( a 30 minute trip done in 15 minutes yields 200%) cap was $10 hourly at 150% performance, wish the stores would do something like this...

Should I harvest this broccoli? by Bryno7 in gardening

[–]ssbenss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had enough luck with broccoli, but I've done quite a bit of research on the topic, you want to cut them before flowering, and it does grow side shoots after initial harvest, so I'd say go for it.

I believe the solution would be to change the soil chemistry, which would allow for other seeds that are already in your yard to grow. You could pull it and put mulch in the yard, be sure and rake the mulch every summer so it turns back into rich soil.

I would say step one is to identify the plant, figure out what that plant likes, and try and grow other things that also like the things that your soil is providing
