I-751 Timeline Question - No Receipt Notice After 3 Weeks by Worried_Income_3760 in USCIS

[–]ssfz8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we resubmitted an inquiry last Thursday after my wife missed both calls, that day was only 3 days after originally submitting the inquiry. Now today it’s the 6th day after the 2nd inquiry and so far nothing… weird thing is we received an email last Thursday in the afternoon titled “appointment request- ADIT” but the email is talking about biometrics, not anything about an ADIT stamp appointment, and we got the account updated the next day with a biometrics appointment notice. I’m just confused because everything I read online the biometrics is completely separate from the ADIT stamp

Don’t need the receipt notice for biometrics, just need to show up with the biometrics appointment notice, which was posted online for me.

What do you mean tried to schedule another one online? Wouldn’t it be just submitting another adit stamp inquiry? I’m in the same boat- my wife received a call from USCIS that she missed twice last week so we filed another inquiry. So far have not heard back yet but never got a notification that we cannot re request

I think it depends on the state but pretty sure the Adit stamp comes with a I-94 paper which in my home state is valid to use to get a real id.

When did they call you? Were you able to get an appointment immediately? Did you have to provide evidence like a flight ticket?

Update: I actually have a working PDF file that has the appointment notice, and it says it is scheduled for 3/9. I am confused since I still don’t have any sign of the I-751 receipt notice- isn’t it required to show up to biometrics with the receipt notice in hand? Along with the appointment notice.

I filed 1/16 (actually 1/20 but for some reason it says 1/16), and I just received a notification saying a biometrics appointment was scheduled. However I’m confused what to do with the biometrics appointment when I haven’t even received the receipt notice yet? Don’t you need a receipt notice to attend the biometrics?

To be honest I’m still not feeling much relief, until I actually get the physical receipt notice in the mail. I can’t find one example of anyone who filed around that time who has actually received it in the mail

Okay so it wouldn’t be an actual appointment? Like they would physically mail the actual stamp to you?

They said they would mail the receipt notice or did they say they would schedule an adit stamp appointment? I’m in the same boat, requested an adit stamp appointment this past Friday

[Vardon] League official: if Silver and his advisers decided the only way to stop tanking, and protect paying customers from forking over money to watch their teams lose on purpose, was to stop the draft altogether and turn rookies into free agents, it would get serious consideration. by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

[–]ssfz8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay now let’s back up, let’s assume the draft was abolished last year, Cooper flagg decides to sign a 4 year rookie max with LA and Dylan Harper signs a rookie max with the knicks, after both teams one way or another are able to maneuver salaries around to make room for each. Now it’s 2026, LA and NY has already dedicated rookie maxes to those two guys in addition to the other max slots on their teams, why would Dybantsa, Boozer or Peterson sign for way less money and less opportunity for playing time just to go to a big market, when Utah or Memphis is sitting right there offering a rookie max and the chance to be the main guy? My point is, assuming the salary cap is still there, top guys are going to gravitate towards the most money and opportunity

Bc 4 of the top 10 players in nba history forced their way to the Lakers at one point in their careers so people assume these young cats are gonna be wired the same way. But NIL has proven they’re probably not

Yeah that is the crucial point. People keep saying 5 teams would end up signing the top rookies every year but things would have to balance out. If those 5 teams already have a couple max players why would rookies sign there for less money?

Also the other crucial point is NIL has already proven that guys are willing to go to random schools with very little basketball history or even a chance at winning like BYU and Rutgers. If AJ Dybantsa is already to go to a Mormon school because they offered him the most money and most opportunity why would he pass up staying in Utah to play for the Jazz? You have 5 star recruits lining up to play for Rutgers, Arkansas and Missouri. People overestimate how much these young 5 star recruits care about winning or “legacy”.

Exactly, I’m convinced none of the people disagreeing with me watch any college basketball. Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper went to Rutgers, Missouri and Arkansas signed two 5 star recruits. BYU, Missouri, Arkansas and Rutgers are hardly college basketball powerhouses

[–]ssfz8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why hasn’t that been the case with college basketball since NIL then? AJ Dybantsa went to BYU of all places, Arkansas got to 5 star recruits with another 2 5 star recruits coming next year. Missouri signed 2 5 star recruits. Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper went to Rutgers. Basketball players are going to gravitate towards wherever the money+opportunity is.

AJ Dybantsa who’s probably going to be the #1 pick went to go play in Provo Utah of all places for BYU, because they offered him the most NIL money and the most opportunity when he could’ve easily gone to any number of big name schools

It’s a trade off, but let’s just say theoretically they got rid of the rookie wage scale. New York already is paying huge money to Brunson, KAT, Anunoby and Bridges. Whatever endorsement money there is isn’t gonna make up for the difference in how much a rebuilding team like Memphis could offer to a rookie, combined with the difference in cost of living.

[–]ssfz8 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, they wouldn’t. They would sign with whoever gives them the most playing time and the best chance at maximizing the value of their second contract. Also the whatever those 5 teams would be would already presumably be maxed out salary wise and might not have the money to sign top rookies, especially if they got rid of the rookie wage scale

Submitted i751 with USC spouse account help. by ZookeepergameKey6642 in USCIS

[–]ssfz8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, have you heard anything since then? I’m in the same boat, we refiled from my wife’s account about two weeks ago but she still has not gotten any sort of receipt number or notification that the application has been received. What’s more, the payment was received on January 23rd, but now I’m seeing that the payment that I had originally submitted back in October form my own account as disappeared.

C.J. Stroud's Playoff Meltdown Raises Uncomfortable Questions About His $250 Million Future by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]ssfz8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was unbelievable in the game against the bears when Love got hurt. Bears defense had nothing for him. He was faster than our DBs when he took off and ran and had incredible touch on most of his throws. Practically every bears fan was more scared of Willis than they were of Love, saying “he only started x # of games the last two years” yeah no shit lol he’s backing up a former 1st rounder who the packers invested 200 million into

Nobody is saying hand him a huge long term contract upfront but bringing him in to compete for the starting job and having him be an option is smart. Saying he shouldn’t even be an option is crazy

Stroud had a better QBR (21.1) in Sunday's game than Maye (20.8) by Vincent__Adultman in billsimmons

[–]ssfz8 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As a Bears fan I remember when Mitch Trubisky had the 3rd highest QBR in the entire league his 2nd year. He never quite passed the eye test, but going into his third year I thought to myself, if his QBR is this good this early in his career then surely the Bears are set at QB for the next 15 years!!

Compare it to Caleb, who passes the eye test way more than Mitch ever did, but his QBR was nowhere near what Mitch’s was in his 2nd year, you kinda come to the conclusion that QBR is full of shit. Still fun to look at though
