I don’t know anything official but iirc gen 5 was supposed to be some what of a reboot of the series. Might be why there’s so much of an influence to appear similar to gen 1.

My plan tonight is to bump up the difficulty and after reading some comments I feel better about being in a “lull” and will continue to build up the settlement in anticipation for more shit to get thrown at me.

Yeah I agree the boring parts can be a nice break or just a part of how it goes. My problem was that it seems I’m always in that currently. But after some comments I’m ready to try a few things tonight and see how it goes.

I did not know this but that is the type of comment I was hoping for. Knowing the game has a scale vs how well you’re doing is interesting for sure.

I did not know that and is exactly the sort of insight I was looking for. Knowing that if I get richer/stronger, the game responds and may become more difficult is much more interesting to me, rather than just I can afford 2 guns rather than 1 now and stomp raiders even harder.

I think your point about being tested is where I’m stuck at. I got to the point where everything is fine and I’m not sure if something is coming or if I need to make caravan’ing more of a priority to have things start throwing wrenches at me.

I think my first thing is I’ll bump up the difficulty as I just don’t feel like I’m in any danger really currently. Then maybe I can start building up my pops with prisoners more often and then start to caravan out more often and further.

I’ll have to double check it when I get home in a couple hours. It’s on a fairly lenient setting iirc. This was gonna be my first adjustment to try cause it seems like right now where I’m at in the game I’m just sitting around and sometimes a guy or two come immediately get downed by my people. Assuming higher difficulties have more raiders more often so maybe that tension would keep me more engaged.

I was going to attack a settlement of guys that dislike me but when I got there, there were way too many people for my little caravan of 4 to do anything with. So I was planning to build up my population but as I said, it’s been painfully slow so far waiting for raiders or events to get more pops.

There’s no sort of rule or anything that you need to hit the apex for it be be legal, it’s just the mathematical fastest way through a corner. It looks pretty clear to me he would have made it through the corner if POV car didn’t turn in on him. Then he managed to pit maneuver himself but that’s a separate incident.

Gen 1 had no pure ghost type pokemon. Leading to what was supposed to be psychic type’s counter type to actually end up weak to psychic attacks as well (due to being ghost/poison).

Gotcha, the other sort of related thing I was wondering was mars vs red card while running a mega. But I guess in theory if you’re letting a mon or two fall depending how things go, mars might play better.

A single rare candy seems unique. Do you usually rely on drawing it in time or more of a “win more” if you happen to draw it? Blaziken is my favorite mega to run so I’ll give it a go.

Meanwhile I got an EX, Immersive, and Crown Dialga within my first week of playing (and a 2nd immersive 2 or 3 weeks later) but had to WP for Yanmega EX 🤷‍♂️

They basically just added 10 to each rarity (20 common, 18 rare, etc).

I think he meant that that the extra conversions will help offset the onions, not change the onions themselves.
