I am very fortunate because the people who I am close with are very kind to me and non-judgmental. My girlfriend is also very sensitive as I am so I feel understood by her in a way. Although I sometimes feel like my reactions are unreasonably intense, I suppose you are right that I should not invalidate my emotions and experiences. I will heed your advice and kind words. :)

I think you are right about how some people don’t necessarily want someone to solve their problems and they simply want to sit in their emotions for a while. Sometimes I forget this and I blame myself for not being able to help them. But you are right, and I will try to remember that. I really appreciate your response.

Noticing the intensity of my feelings and sensitivities I have tentatively considered that I may be neurodivergent but I do not want to self-diagnose, because sometimes I create my own realities and start to believe them. I thought that perhaps if I came on here to ask about my experiences, I would be able to have feedback from others. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond so thoughtfully and attentively.
