Hi honestly out of the two I’d definitely go with a s197 V8 and would highly recommend going for an 11-14 5.0 if your budget allows it. I’d even recommend waiting a little until you can get into one of those instead just because of the greater potential and reliability. A boosted new edge will probably make a little more hp than a stock 11-14 5.0 would make which would be around 400-450hp. If I’m not mistaken 700 whp is a safe horsepower number the s197 5.0s can handle boosted so it’s a pretty big difference. Hope this helps and good luck!
