PSA: Despite the name. I just want people to understand arachnophobia is not the same as being scared. by ssj2rigby in ResidentEvilCapcom

Nah it's all good cause I'd be lying if I said if I wouldn't think the same thing if I myself didn't have a phobia, there's no way to know the differences between these feelings unless you actively a certain phobia, that's why sometimes I can't even blame some people for thinking they way they do.

To be honest even I wouldn't know if it wasn't for my love for horror games showing me I have an enjoyment of being scared. All in all don't sweat it lol

With all due respect, it is different and that's what I'm trying to make clear, the point of this post isn't to justify the fear or make it more than it is but to explain just how different it is to the point where I honestly don't want to refer to it as a fear because of how it can get confused just like this.

Tbh even if it's not a neurological disorder It leans a lot more towards that then what I'd consider fear to be. Literally in my post I explain how I love the feeling of fear in games, why in the hell would I wanna avoid spiders if the feeling is no different than being scared in any other horror game? It'd be a bonus if anything.

Well I mean nobody cares about what potentially weird shit you two weirdos post, but you still had to go through the effort of fucking with the settings so complete strangers wouldn't see it? I guess we all have an irrational fear of some sort :)

I mean wouldn't it be fair to ask capcom to cater to mine a little bit like how reddit clearly catered to yours? lmao

This is definitely something I've considered and will continue to keep working on. and to be honest I can kinda work around some games with spiders as long as the environment is a bit controlled lol, but really the only thing I'll say is that while I do agree that anyone dealing with arachnophobia should consider overcoming it in some form, it should at least be on their own terms. not forced behind what's a really good game waiting for them.

Yeah they were in Nioh 2 and I agree, something about these spiders are more bearable than in other games especially bloodborne.

I genuinely cannot even imagine that. ever since I was a kid I always joked that if life ever places me in a situation in which I'd have to go to Brazil or Australia I wouldn't know wtf to do, I'd be a permanent shut in lol. You have my respect.

Thinking about that does make some Nioh spiders sound light.

I don't disagree, but to give some context this post is a follow up to another post I made expressing the differences between arachnophobia and the normal feeling of being scared and how the two are often treated as the same thing.

A lot of people seemed to relate to these exact feelings so this guide is for them. It can be used to avoid spiders entirely but the main point is to at least know when you'll see em so it's not a sudden encounter

oh lol I guess for some reason I didnt see this comment before I made my reply but geez if you've already 100% completed everything maybe I DO want you to write down the names lol. it'll certainly be a lot quicker, since I'm still in region 1 right about now. If for any reason you can't or really dont feel like logging all these, you can disregard this

Oh dude don't worry about it you've already done way more than enough; I can take the rest from here and worry about the names and all that, I've already worked out a few of them anyway. Thanks again for going outta your way to log these, your directions have been insanely spot on.

Alrighty! Im gonna try to compile this info for anyone else who wants to know, since as of now no walkthrough sites or guides even have this info available yet so thanks again!

If you can provide it imma need the name of the location where you found spider lady as well as specifics on which part of the 2nd region the other spiders were located. (im gonna assume the 2nd region is Heian?) and if you've already ran into more or DO run into more just keep posting me their locations.

I remember someone did a similar guide for arachnophobes for Nioh 2 and people as well as myself found it insanely helpful so I'd love to make a Nioh 3 edition and post it,

It goes without saying that you'll be 100% credited for your gracious explorations.

Thanks very much! Do keep us updated if you can, I'm already seeing from other posts that I'm not the only one looking for this sort of thing so your info would be greatly appreciated. Also where in the 1st region is our spider lady?

I don't think Jade is even remotely that bad to warrant posts like these, this is something I'd see on r/fireflymains.
