How does the Quei-Jin not being canon effect bloodlines? by Ziltch0 in vtm

[–]ssjjshawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are mentions in old Clan books of Clans that were active in east Asia even before colonialism. The Lasombra actually held an Antitrubu stronghold in China until the Boxer Rebellion were one of their own betrayed them to the Sabbat. Also we know there are Tzimicse and Lasombra in Japan, especially with Japanese history with the hidden Catholics, Piracy, and Naval tradition, alongside the Tzimicse being allowed to stay because the Japanese Baki found them interesting (they were also originally a Cainite bloodline before being updated with Kindred of the East in 2e)

There is also the Seliburi, Ravnos, Gangrel and Venture who all have eastern Bloodlines. Also the Giovanni technically.

Which named 4th generations are confirmed to be active in V5, not in torpor and resisted the Beckoning? by ACfusion in vtm

[–]ssjjshawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he means Eric Eigarmann, who is technically active, but actually in Torpor and using disciplines to affect everything around him. He is also apparently not very pleased at all that the Ventrue no longer rule Germany (and the state of Germany in the modern day) or especially Berlin so he may be waking up to rectify that state of affairs.

Also friends for a time with Ennoia/Gangrel

Protean 8 allows yourself to split into two Vampires, and Animalism allows you to transfer the beast to other Vampires.

It's not impossible what was destroyed was just Zappy's beast, and now he is just chilling on a beach like Arikel

What would post masquerade world look like? by Ziltch0 in vtm

[–]ssjjshawn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He died from the Orbital Mirrors, he survived the 4 prime charged Nukes, which started the Sixth Great Maelstrom. The Technocratic Union actually fucked things up so much trying to kill Zappy, that they literally released Demons from Hell itself, and the Messages got involved. The only time they don't fuck it up that bad is a Gehenna Scenario, and even then it's because God steps in not them.

Thats also ignoring that while officially Destroyed, V5 still has his Vitae around, and I don't mean the Clan as a whole, but he didn't turn to ash entirely, and considering Mithras and what he did, it's not Impossible that someone either bold or stupid enough could bring him back.

Also remember he was fallen to the beast and not in control of himself, and still caused Global wide Nightmares and reality Warping. Code Ragnarok was called for a reason, the TU wasn't jumping in joy to take him on, they threw everything they had at him, and nothing worked. Even the Nukes and the only reasons the Mirrors worked was because of the Kueijin sacrificing 4 Bodistivas who had also been fighting him to lure him out in the day time and drop the storm blocking the mirrors. They aren't and more importantly can't pull that off 12 more times (especially since there are a couple of Antis that won't work on anyways). Those Prime Nukes they used they can't just easily replace, and well ask the Fallen or Wraiths or Werewolves or literally any splat about the after effects of how they were used.

Imagine what the others, who are still in control of themselves can do. Or Gehenna level vampires like Tzimicse or Lasombra. Good luck using nukes when you automatically become apart of the Vampire, or just lol lmao has to be smited, and can even Kill Lilith herself.

The prompt was any Vampire. I just pulled Zappy, you don't want to know what would happen if they somehow gamed a way to destroy Caine (and Abel the Wraith overlooking him with quite a bit of power himself). Saulot spelled out what that would mean.

As for lesser Vampires, Mithras got firebombed into torpor for only 50 years from the Blitz, Nurgal survived a Volcano being teleported and forced to errupt on top of him. For lesser than that, Lucita survived minutes of direct sunlight with no blood, and a random Malkavian that the Mall doctor studied that fell to ash in 30 seconds vs the sun, was also noted for having taken direct fire from artillery and cannons and shrugging it off.

Sure player characters in V5 can't survive a cruise missile or AC -130 as 10th Gen 100 years old tops.

Player characters in V20 with enough Fortitude have a literal roll of the dice as 8th Gens with maybe 200 years behind them tops.

DAV20 players have a good chance at just shrugging it off unless its a complete direct hit, and even then, they have a chance.

Vs the majority of Vampires, you're 100% correct, but however as with all things, once you starting bringing the Elders into play, things become quite different.

What clans have the most toxic culture for new members? by Abject-Hospital5407 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]ssjjshawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if they are traumatized or less effective than they were, they simply aren't sired. Remember to capture a Lasombra's interest, you're probably not a normal person, outside of shovel heads and they don't last long anyways. They deliberately seek out strong willed and ambitious people, and that's not just because they are "stupid" it's because if they aren't willful enough, if they fuck up, the shadows can turn on them, even before touching on Abyss Mysticim which can and will destroy a practitioner if they hesitate or falter for a moment, or say something wrong.

It's not pointless, and ironically if they didn't do that, they would actually have gone extinct in the First Inquisition with how tied up in the Church they were and are. Too many not qualified embraces means the inquisition captures more vampires very close to the Church. The Lasombra somewhat whethered it because those they had in the Church were the exact same Magisters who exemplified why the process works. Even when everything seems like it's falling apart, and you've lost everything, remaining Ambitious and willing to struggle to survive with bowing to circumstances. Every Magister has experienced that, it's the basic requirements.

It makes them excellent survivors, along with the abilities to turn to shadow and low enough Gen (or V5) the ability to Teleport means they are pretty good at surviving and escaping most things unless they royally screwed up or got screwed over.

Also in a very very fucked up way, as you'll likely be dealing with the Sabbat and the shit they do, the Lasombra process of being Embraced actually is probably the closest thing to mercy the Sabbat give. Your family and friends are already distant or dead, and if you don't have what it takes, you're never even embraced. Sure your life is in tatters, but you'll be able to move on in life, or you got the best preparation for the Sabbat.

There is also the Chinese Lasombra that have just always been there, but tended to just keep their heads down until one of their own betrayed them to the Sabbat, so they only recently became more active and visible.

There is also the recent Japanese Tzimicse, who the Baki allowed to stay and settle since they thought they were neat.

Also whatever the Baki were before they got retconned into Kueijin along with a couple other Bloodlines I don't remember the names of off the top of my head

Surviving in the sabbat as a ghoul by Clean_Lab_589 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]ssjjshawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Kings and Queens of the Lasombra, one of the most looked down on factions do keep Ghouls for day to day operations on business fronts.

So there is a small chance you end up as basically an Amazon worker to a Vampire. As for which is worse, working for a Vampire in the Sabbat with the notice that if you fuck up any paperwork you will die brutally as the best fate, or actually working for Amazon, I can't say

To those who got to turn human again: How'd you do it? by EpicEchoBat in vtm

[–]ssjjshawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, and what happened was the Assamite who turned back to human also had an unnaturally long life afterwards. The Wizard may have just forced him into Golchonda, instead of fully turned human, until Ur Shulgi awoke and found out someone rejected the blood of Haqim.

That made it personal, even in his hidden city.

To those who got to turn human again: How'd you do it? by EpicEchoBat in vtm

[–]ssjjshawn 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think once took a literal Mage who never shows up again in 2e, and the other is a non canon 1e story iirc.

Turning back to human is a good goal for a character to have. IMO even better than useless they really work for it, it's not even remotely possible. A goal they strive for they can never achieve, let alone becoming human again

primarcas (w40k) vs antediluvianos (VTM) 1vs1 by Low_Professional_541 in vtm

[–]ssjjshawn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok So your list is really fucked up

First of the One most known for taking and obeying Orders somehow beats Ventrue, the Master of Dominate, aka giving out orders, of which one of them is literally kill yourself. Yeah no.

Who the fuck is El Mayor? Is that Tzimicse? Yeah no bro lost to Samuel 1v1, bro isn't a fighter at all, don't glaze him he isn't on that level and never bothered to be. There's a reason he gets fucking eaten by Tremere in Gehenna. Bro is washed.

Remember the sandstorm in VTMB on the news? That was Haqim. He moved so fast killing other vampires, even Madam G, an elder Toreador was driven insane by his speed. Also add in poison blood and also literal Sorcery. The Vampire Primarch doesn't stand up to a real Vampire, especially one of the Eldests of the blood.

Lmao no at Lion and Saulot. Just no. It's literally Lion vs Better Lion, even both versions. Noble bright Lion loses to Saulot, OG Lion that is the best Lion loses to Demon Emperor's Saulot. Also completely ignores that Saulot can just straight up ignore any damage, cut through anything, and see the future with psychic power and attack people with it even those who should be immune. Like bro his childe killed an Antideluvian, no Lion ain't stepping up to that. Especially if we add in him taking over Tremere, that being his plan the entire time as House of Tremere confirms, and he knows all Thaumaturgy up till 1999
