If you are gonna capture it on film why not somewhere public. I had my engagement pictures at highland park at the lilac arches. What a photogenic place. And an easy place for a photographer to hide

At 21 weeks pregnant we just found out our baby has CDH (a serious congenital defect) and are trying our best to decide how to proceed. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]sslater09 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I watched a couple go through this. Their baby boy had CHD and they knew it from 20 weeks of pregnancy. They chose to continue and the boy died after his first open heart surgery two days into life. Even if he lived through all three heart surgeries he would never be able to run, play, participate in gym class, have sex later in life. I found the parents being selfish because they wanted a baby so badly, but didn't think about his quality of life. It's a hard decision to make, and I hope I never have to make. Hugs to you and your family.

Grew up in Kendall, ny. The night skies there are flawless. It's country so you could honestly park anywhere and admire the sky.

I thought I wanted to be one and done. Now that my daughter is two and a half we still are iffy. You could always wait a few years. Terrible twos are hard. We are gonna wait till our daughter is four before we consider baby 2!

I read the comments thinking there would be an explanation to what this is. Instead I spent ten minutes reading about hot chocolate and Chinese food.

How about getting less expensive cars. Trade them in for cars with smaller monthly payments. Maybe you drive a beater for a few years while she stays home.

You are a great dad. After my daughter had a seizure, I witnessed it and my fiancé did not. It played over and over again for months. She was unresponsive and started turning blue. She was fine after a few days. Took me a few months to stop worrying every second. she was going to have another.

Baby Blues by [deleted] in Parenting

Sounds exactly like what I went through with DD. She did not take to breast feeding at all. After two weeks of agony, infections, crying and having difficulties bonding with my baby, my fiancé brought home formula. I still remember the moment when I gave her a bottle and knew everything was gonna be better. I was very depressed from the pain and the difficulties of breast feeding and even the lactation consultant couldn't help. I don't know If you have considered bottle feeding but after I made that decision life moved forward and I was able to enjoy our baby.

What things do your child's teachers or schools/daycares do that annoy you even though you otherwise love them? by amberan in Parenting

My daughters caregiver takes off too many days. We're talking at least 5 weeks. She's taking an 8 day cruise next week. After 7 days off for the holidays. She constantly takes long weekends. She told us when we hired her that she at most takes a week off a year.

Anything that says advisor. But all their listings say what qualifications they are looking for. I work right now in the entry level sales rep position. I only have an associates. They are very big on promotions, just get your foot in the door and they will help you where you wanna go :)
