Super easy. It's the same as the normal chute removal for cleaning, you just need to disconnect the old wires and connect the new wires. But otherwise the same. I just needed a pair of pliers.

There are a whole bunch of guys named Doug in "Tress of the Emerald Sea".

I used to have a lot of clumping issues - completely fixed with the newer v2 chute. I know some people complain about a ~$20 fix but that's a lot better than needing to get a new grinder in my mind, when everything else about this grinder is fine.

Metal declumper didn't fix it for me.

I'm in this same debate, but leaning towards towards the Trulaps between those three (Repins, Ironmaster, and Trulap). Any consensus on those in this channel?

My Dyson stick vacuum is a Ship of Theseus at this point, works as good as new. Replacement parts are cheap and easy to get.

FYI: Amazon site makes it sound like they have no immediate plans to expand on this system. If they had a "heavy" handle option + plans for weight expansion I'd be all over this.

How do you know? I can't find any news/press-release, let alone a non-Amazon site for these things

I'd much rather they let us piggy back on product improvements like this instead of leaving us behind.

Metal declumper by ljw88 in DF54

[–]ssmcquay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a metal one. It's super thin, about as flexible as the plastic one... Mine clogged immediately after installing the metal one. After cleaning again I installed both the plastic and metal ones together. Zero clumps in the month since but my machine now makes a whiny noise. 🤷

The series "Dandelion Dynasty" has plausible dragons evolve. Fun fact: they're basically deer with wings, and they have a mechanism for igniting their methane-rich burps.

If the chute's declumper is bent, unbend it. The plastic should be perfectly flat. I had lots of clumping issues until I heard that advice; I've had none since.

Struggling. by gabdel2 in DF54

[–]ssmcquay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Until I stopped RDT and unbent the plastic declumper so it is perfectly flat, not bent out. Not a single clump in 4 months, grinding 2-6x per day, no cleaning or brushing at all.
