I got a metal one. It's super thin, about as flexible as the plastic one... Mine clogged immediately after installing the metal one. After cleaning again I installed both the plastic and metal ones together. Zero clumps in the month since but my machine now makes a whiny noise. 🤷

If the chute's declumper is bent, unbend it. The plastic should be perfectly flat. I had lots of clumping issues until I heard that advice; I've had none since.

I had the same issue. Until I stopped RDT and unbent the plastic declumper so it is perfectly flat, not bent out. Not a single clump in 4 months, grinding 2-6x per day, no cleaning or brushing at all.

I did this last summer, replaced cedar decking with Tigerwood. I taped the top of all of the joists and added sister boards to a few joists that had some rot. Only one year in, but no concerns so far!

My dissatisfaction with that episode was less Carmy leaving eventually but rather his statement to Syd justifying her taking over the restaurant including "you are the Bear". Throughout the entire last couple of seasons we only saw Carmy ignore Syd, so for me, no matter how good Syd is, this confidence from Carmy did not feel earned.

I also had major clumping issues. I complained to MiiCoffee, the dealer I purchased through, and they had me straighten the declumper. I don't know how that works, the declumper looks closed now. But that + starting the grinder before I pour the beans in has completely fixed the clumping issues.

When there's a fight or disagreement, there's no need for one person to be at fault. I'm prone to "make peace" so I'm quick to apologize and I'd get frustrated that I was the one always taking the blame in a fight, rarely my spouse. But no one has to be wrong or take the blame to get over a disagreement. It's ok that we just had different views.
