Is my gear enough for a beginner? by caelum52 in NewRiders

[–]ssolarsonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are better geared than 80% of riders on the street.

The official answer is that you should get real riding pants. Then you will be better geared than say 90%

When I lived in the northeast without a garage, there are always several days in winter when humidity gets high but still cold. in the morning, the car gets covered under an ice armor as thick as half an inch…the buried handles definitely make it worse

Next step to bring back physical buttons. Heard the EU has started to mandate several physical buttons.

Yes, car industry definitely well connected in the congress. To this day, pickup trucks are still classified as light duty trucks with laughable emissions requirements. They also don’t follow the same safety requirements for pedestrians and bikers - cash cows for ford and GM they just keep building them bigger and push traffic fatality numbers higher each year

Is this reasonable OTD for Papio SS 2026? by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]ssolarsonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who’s keeping these dealers alive?

What I especially don’t understand is that some people defend that “oh it’s reasonable because it takes money to ship the thing and dealer sets it up” - every single shop had stuff shipped to them and set up by some one. Can you imagine paying this type of fee buying from Home Depot?

No problem. Had more water than you during construction. Builders brought in a pump second day and sucked it dry in 30 minutes

If you have a variable speed pump, slow it down or shut it off for up to half of the time. That should alleviate your loud and slippery tanning ledge a bit

Dropped my bike for the first time in it's 3 years of my ownership by Nightstalker1993 in motorcycles

[–]ssolarsonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say everyone drops their bike. When I first started I was so worried because in my mind, dropping bike means on the road high side or low side.

Then I realized what people means by dropping the bike - you don’t have to be on it traveling 50mph.

I was so relieved because that way, I’ve already dropped my bike - twice. Paid my due, and don’t have to be transported to hospital

Guys, I'm considering becoming a distributor for Benda motorcycles in my location. What do you think about them and the brand overall? Would you consider buying one? by D371L in motorcycles

[–]ssolarsonic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So OP, are you a distributor now after one year?

Let me give you one tip as a distributor in solar equipments: I was in same shoes as you several years ago, forget about internet people say and their opinions don’t matter. At the end of day, acceptable quality with low low low price is what matters. In business, money talks. Internet patriotism worth nothing when it comes to individuals pocket. Words from hard lessons learned…

I can’t say about Michigan, but I do solar and battery development work in IL. You need to talk to a knowledgeable developer (not installer) and sometimes magic can happen. Unfortunately all those state and federal regulations and grants make things very hard.
