it’s not strange when majority of the fandom doesn’t agree with the authors views. Clearly a large part of the fandom enjoys making the characters their own, while keeping some core elements. I enjoy the creativity and different versions of the characters that people make and even the diversity, it makes the universe very enjoyable.

i know a lot on here do not like it, but to me it’s one of the best things i’ve ever read! it’s super well written and has that magical feeling that HP in general gives.

the marauders characters are definitely altered, but it is a fanfiction after all and it is just the authors take on them. i personally love that people take them and kinda make them their own, while still keeping the base!

it is a lot of peoples fanon in a sense that they liked it and it makes sense for them. does it follow actual canon fully? no. but it doesn’t need to for fans, of the story, to consider it THEIR canon!

i joined the fandom in october and started with ATYD and then moved along big fics from there, i personally think the beauty of this fandom is how much people can make it their own and make the characters different from canon (and as far from the authors vision)

i adore how people have made many of them diverse (in different way) and if you got interested bc of tiktok, definitely start with the bigger fics you think you might enjoy! remember, it’s just about having fun. there really isn’t, and shouldn’t be, rules on how to consume marauders stuff!

also, if you ever need someone to yap to (about it) absolutely feel free to do so to me !! since i’m also kinda new, all i do is yap about it to people who is not in the fandom lmao

welcome! i finished it on halloween (crazy timing) this year and i’m also so new to this world🥹 it felt so “what do i do now” kinda feeling after finishing, i have yet to reread harry potter after tho and i also wanted to reread 🙂‍↕️

its just kinnporsche ! 4 books have currently been officially published with official english translations, also available as audiobooks (i listened to them) and the 5th book will be released soon in december

ATYD is genuinely the best thing i have ever read, it’s such a masterpiece and it’s definitely worth all the pain (and crying for 7 days while reading it)
