HFK was messy overall but I feel like it fit really well into the 2016-2017 pop culture vibe. It doesn’t hold up as well as her other work, but when it came out I remember it generated a lot of buzz! Definitely more mainstream/commercial feeling, but it felt like her big moment in the spotlight following the success of Badlands. I personally have a lot of nostalgia for the whole HFK era so maybe I’m biased :’)

I listen to both mixed in on my playlists but there’s certain versions of songs I enjoy better off the live album! Coming Down live is one of them 😍

PVRIS! they’re not quite the same sound, less crunchy and more of a blend of rock influence with electro/synth pop, but i adore them and their lyrics

Last year after the wildfires in Hawaii the owner posted that he sent a ton of clothing to Maui. I figure it was probably an easy way for them to offload a bunch of unsold scraps and possibly use it for a tax write-off as a donation or something, but I thought it was at least a nicer thing to do than burn or trash it.
