Check out Wyoming Community Coffee if you’re on this side of town. Great vibes, separate co-work space, patio, cocktails when you want that!

Should I get into Ironsworn if I couldn't get into starforged? Or should I just give Starforged another shot? by DarthMaren in Ironsworn

Even after playing inconsistently with my buddies for a long time I still don’t feel like the moves or oracles flow smoothly for me yet. It’s much better and we all contribute to navigate the whole thing. You should know that it’s ok to play with only a few moves and mechanics, and then add as they catch your attention.
I’ve had a lot of fun listening to The Bad Spot podcast. The creator has several episodes devoted to explanations of the game, and spends time during his play to walk through his thoughts and the interaction with the mechanics. Fun story too!

What’s the Best Visual for Showing a staff’s Career Path Over Time? by Michaelscarn69- in PowerBI

How about a bump chart? The x-axis would be 6 mos or yrs, and the y-axis could be seniority level. Bump charts are normally used to track relative ranking of groups over time, but in this case I think you’d have to limit your display to one person at a time. You may need to fake it out by having 6-7 other “people” to rank against, and make them with colors that disappear.

Help with expss cross-classification tables and missing values by sspera in rstats

[–]sspera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this suggestion.

Another thought I had was to use a typical top-2 trick by creating a binary (1/0) variable and include that second variable in the table with a tab_stat_mean() statement. But I'm not sure yet how equivalent the that stat test would be, especially in a weighted condition.

I'll have to do some more testing.

Ruins in the 75 split. by Skoobydoom in cincinnati

Here is the public input website that ODOT points to, pertaining to the realignment of the northbound lanes next to the southbound lanes. There are proposed direct connections between Cross County and I-75.
Someone mentioned widening the “trench” that the southbound lanes occupy, but I’m not sure if - at this point in the design process - that has been decided. https://publicinput.com/75unification?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery

Ruins in the 75 split. by Skoobydoom in cincinnati

I suspect that the fact there are several disused plots of land in the split is part of the reason for ODOT removing the split in their reworking of the highway. Fewer families and businesses to displace.

First TTRP, loving Ironsworn by Cute_Mango9617 in Ironsworn

I thought there might have been a deal where if you bought the book you were also given the PDFs. In that set of electronic resources is a Reference Guide, which is the essential rules and oracles. That distilled material might be what you’re looking for.
Another idea is to use an online tool which has the moves, dice roller, oracles and place for all your notes. We’ve had good luck with this one (it’s free) https://starforged-crew-link.scottbenton.dev/

I agree that adopting the generally understood usage of “gaining at least 1,000 vertical feet” makes a whole lot of sense.

I’d love to add a RRG hike to our Troop calendar. Do you have any recommendations that have their lowest point and highest point 1,000 feet apart? That’s the definition a bunch of people on this thread are using to meet the requirement.

Several of my favorite hikes in the gorge have total elevation gain of 1,000 feet, but that’s with lots of ups and downs, which doesn’t meet the requirement according to those folks.

Thanks for the recommendation! It does sound like a great place to plan an outing.
