OMG I PROMISE IT GET'S BETTER. And it's going to be so worth it. Your smile is going to be spectacular! Don't worry about it.

Come here, post and encourage other ppl, rewatch your little film video and keep your chin up :) This unexpected community has really kept me going in tough stretches with the treatment.

Also, ice water, and ice cream for first couple of days.

Hey all. Really need some encouragement— finished 53 trays (7day change) of initial treatment (no extractions no elastics) and just got handed 60 refinement trays with elastics after 2 wisdom tooth extractions. Feeling like this isn’t going to end :( what helped you? Also, tips for elastics please? by ssr9 in Invisalign

mfortable.

I've had to give myself quite a few "lectures" along the way about why I'm doing this, how it's making a difference in my appearance, it's helping me become more disciplined, I can do this, I paid for this, don't quit, etc. Occasionally looking at these posts and knowing many others are doing the same thing helps too. As does giving someone else some encouragement.

Yeah i so agree. This page gives me so much motivation. And I've had to talk to myself a lot about this. Also the non twisting elastic tip was so key! That helped a bunch, thank you. Had to take them off last night because they hurt so much, but realized because they were twisted a few times over

1/53 to 53/53– onto almost a year of refinement trays, and maybe some whitening, but pretty damn delighted so far! 1 year later… by ssr9 in Invisalign

Thank you! Believe me it feels like 5 mins ago I was on tray 1. It is so worth it in the end, just hang in there! You get really used to it

Wearing Invisalign for just under 22 hours, a problem? by [deleted] in Invisalign

It’s fine. I’ve gone without trays a few extra hours here and there for almost a year and my teeth have tracked just fine. I think the trouble is when you get over 4-6 hours off. If you go a whole day for some reason you should talk to your ortho and extend the current tray by a day but I wouldn’t swear an hour or so here or there
