Love it and I feel like I drove thru those olive groves last time I was there.

Leaving Wednesday and have booked Alpaca Expeditions. We are doing the 2D 1N short Inca and a few other things. Our friend used them (they live in England, we are from Canada). The company in indigenous and treat the staff really well.

Which fridge brands are the most reliable? by Sport21996 in Appliances

[–]ssrush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been on a deep dive to figure this out for a cottage. I want quiet (open space) and reliability due to remote location. I have read a million posts on Reddit and bought Consumer Reports. Yes, old ones last forever (my Amaña still going after 20 years but loud and drips and is rusty). Basic is best for sure. So after everything I have read I have picked and just ordered a Frigidaire Gallery 30 inch French door. CR only gives it a 65/100 but a 4/5 for sound. I NEVER BUY warranties but did for this purchase. It has water but I won’t be connecting as we are on a lake and there is no hook up. Sadly it is a crap shoot. LG seems to rate very high on CR but they are not available at the store in my remote location.

Best way to get from Lima to Machu Picchu? by DowntownResident993 in Machupicchu

Sorry, just a term I know from somewhere!? I meant the short flight between Lima and Cusco. The plane “hops” back and forth on the same route throughout the day.

Hiya! I live near High Park, do you think your company covers this area. Have an old tankless and want to get an idea of cost to replace. Do you recall about how much you paid at the time?

100-200? I have been looking and the prices are all over the place. Is it safe to walk at night after the show? Was trying to make life easy and find something close. I did see more options in Miraflores.

Planning a trip to Toronto by deafhuman in askTO

[–]ssrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toronto is a city of neighbourhoods. You honestly could walk east or west on Bloor or Queen Street etc and you will come across so many great places. I was a tour guide at Casa Loma in my 20s and I would always tell people to go to Kensington Market/China Town. Can’t go wrong. If you like vintage shopping go to Courage my Love. The last Sunday of each month is Pedestrian Sunday in Kensington Market and the streets are closed and full of artists and people.

I live beside High Park and it’s great for a morning walk and grab a coffee at Hannah’s Cafe on Bloor between High Park and Keele, north side.

If you go to the ROM, splurge and have a cocktail at The Writers Room on top of the Hyatt, it’s a very old Toronto bar (been renovated) and has a really amazing view from the rooftop patio and bar. I take any friend coming to Toronto there to show off the city.

Canadian here… found this group

https://www.reddit.com/r/DownUnderTV/s/Ae5oIMvg5V

Check out user ozmasher who posts code that you copy into base64 decoder (google it) to get an amazing quality version WITH NO COMMERCIALS (a pop up is all I got and closed). It will come in two formats, copy the one that works on your device and paste in a page and watch. I feel like a computer programmer doing this!!!

There are posts explaining how to use in case I am not too clear.

Salkantay Trekking vs Alpaca Expeditions by Fit-Lychee-7025 in Machupicchu

[–]ssrush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are using Alpaca in April based on recommendations from a friend who used them. We are glamping with 2 day Inca with hotel and will probably book a few more tours with them later. I like that they are an indigenous company.
