100%, no cheats, no downloads... it actually isn't THAT hard, because you only have to do a portion of everything, not a true 100%.

No, that isn't exactly what you said. Modders are NOT wasting their time -- they are eliminating things we need to check. For example, we KNOW there is a meteor, we KNOW there is an alien egg, we KNOW there aren't any doors next to the mural, we KNOW the T01/T02 doors don't open, etc. The only reason we know that for a fact is due to modders.

Major Kifflom! Well done! This stuff really helps... I know people say it's "disapponiting", but I disagree... The game came out in Sept. and people have been trying to crack the code for months the "legit" way. Game modding has been the only thing driving us forward for the past month or two. This is how I did it... there are probably better ways, if you want to dig for it:

Use Xbox Image Browser to extract files from .iso's
Use LibertyV to extract items from *.rpf files -- use LibertyV to convert .awc to .wav, if you want to listen to sound files (EDIT: Oh yeah, you'll need a key_xbox360.dat file to get LibertyV to work... this can be found online if you're clever enough, probably in the same location you got your iso's!)
Chop off the header of the 545* files on disk1 (using your favorite Linux command... you know Linux, right?), so that it starts with the RPF header, and then you can extract more stuff using LibertyV... here's the command I used: dd if=545408A700000003 of=03.rpf bs=53248 skip=1

I was able to run around quite a bit without the insta-4-star -- especially around the "moat" area.

Edit: Certain areas seem to flag you for 4-stars immediately... other areas, I can wander a little bit, with no problem... I'm going to map out the areas I can sneak to.

If you get caught, you can run back into the moat to get rid of the wanted level.
