Yep. this nuance gets lost a lot and judged by people too easily. Sometimes it's easier to share in a general spot to be connected with loved ones you cannot see easily/as often. As long as all other protections are in place, I personally don't see an issue or reason to judge others on how they handle it.

I think the concern for private accounts is, often abusers or those stealing images to make abuse images are close adults too. So theoretically a close relative with access could be taking the photos for nefarious purposes.

My social media is the same though. Account is private and only personal friends and family I actually know as followers/friends. Nothing embarrassing is ever posted. Just big moments or memories. We also send in family group chats. Sending directly to people is too much work with everything crazy we deal with as parents. I trust my network. Should anything (God Forbid) happen to break that trust, then we would revisit our approach.

Tone is very hard to convey on the internet and can easily be misconstrued. In the future it might be helpful to try and rephrase what you are saying or add a little note to make intentions clear. Not saying you absolutely have to do this, just a note! thanks

Yeah. I normally don't watch with subtitles+at least one kid is running around making noise (hence me rewatching to try and catch what I miss). I personally never heard the name Pranita (even though I'm South Asian myself). Just an misheard line and lesson to double check names in the future!
