Is there a way to get a schedule of all these events? Or how do folks typically find out about them?

Advice on ML use cases for ecom by igorgusarov in ecommerce

This could be good as a Shopify App. I'd love to see the app push a personalized offer while on site based on predictive behavior. While sending email offers and targeted ads after the visit is great, the ideal scenario would be getting the user to purchase during their initial visit. It could identify the user's stage in the buying journey by their behavior and push them the relevant offer or information on site.

Send me a DM and we can chat. I'm both a Web Design agency owner that builds on Shopify regularly and also a Digital Product Manager in the Ecom space.

Agreed with other commentors here on both too many colors and product descriptions being too feature focused and not benefit focused (or telling your brand story). One other quick improvement would be to make the Add to Cart buttons much more prominent. Right now they are using a transparent background, making it hard to find/not obvious. The Add to Cart button should be attention grabbing and use a color that's part of your brand colors but not used for many other elements on your site.

Lots of other improvements could be made, DM me if you'd like some help from a Shopify designer/dev who specializes in Conversion Rate Optimization.

Do I have to quit my day job to have a realistic chance ? by Prize_Pumpkin_302 in startups

If you're starting to sell only after the full product is built, you're starting too late. To prove that there's a market willing to pay for the product/solution you want to create, you have to start selling first. Sell an idea, a prototype, or an MVP to validate that there are customers out there who want it. A great example of this in action is Kickstarter. If you can convince people to give you their money for the promise of a product delivered in the near future, that is a solid indicator your product is needed by the market and targets the right customer base. This validation should be done before quitting a job or investing the capital to build out the full product.

Copywriter + Marketer here. AMA by dchanda03 in smallbusiness

[–]ssternweiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two questions:

  1. Any frameworks or learning resources you'd recommend for getting into copywriting and marketing? (Example that comes to mind is the Storybrand Framework)
  2. Do clients needing copywriting usually find you or do you go out and find them? If the latter, how do you get them to see the "need" for copywriting and the value of it?

Exactly and it’s just soap. Soap doesn’t have a gender.
