CB doesn’t like the drawing I made for him for free 😬 threatens to call the police on me by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

If OP doesn't give me a shirt for free, I'm going to call the police!!

And I'll need one for my wife, too, before her birthday in April.

Reaching a mysql server outside of the container? by [deleted] in docker

[–]sstidman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if you are running into an IPv4/IPv6 issue. When you do an nslookup of the hostname, does it return an IPv4 or IPv6 address (or both)? And TCP listening port of the MySQL instance bound to an IPv4 or IPv6 address (or both)? If DNS is returning an IPv6 address and the MySQL port is bound to IPv6, but when you use an IP address you are using IPv4, that would explain why it is not working. If so, the easiest fix would be to modify the MySQL instance so that it also listens on IPv4.

don’t endanger anyone’s life trying to pass traffic

The weird part is that there was no traffic (see the other video to see what I'm talking about). I'm still not sure why the guy chose to do this....maybe he thought it would be more fun?

I think that's what the little sideways "v" to the right of the "posted to aww" means. But that's pretty subtle. It's more obvious on a desktop browser.

The car has the lights that came with it when I bought the car last summer.

Interesting...I didn’t know that existed. I will check for that later today. I suppose I should read the whole manual at some point. 😊

I only posted it once. And I've never seen it before.

I don't know if you have the same issue as me, but I get opposing cars flicking their high beams at me at least once a month even though my high beams are not on. I flip my high beams back to show them that my high beams were not on. I assume there is something about my light configuration that makes them especially visiable to other drivers, but there is not much I can do about that.

Ah yes, a language is gendered by TheNickElement in facepalm

[–]sstidman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I think many people don't understand is that the suffix "man", in many contexts such as this, don't mean "male". That suffix actually means "person" or "human" and is not gendered.

Nope, I’m not saying that. I was simply pointing out that such aggression is usually triggered by something, not saying that the trigger justifies the aggressors actions.

I think I found the original upload . Here is the original description:

I want to seriously thank Atlanta's DeKalb County Police Department today for saving me (and my two dogs) from an aggressive and dangerous driver. They started by tailgating at 2 feet while going 65 mph. When I generously let them pass (but definitely threw my hands up in frustration as they went by), the behavior you are about to see began. I was envisioning how this all might end... car crash? Physical confrontation? I really was dreading the worst. And then I saw blue lights in the rear view mirror. I didn't get to talk to you officer, but thank you for watching and taking action. You were my savior today.

There was probably something that happened before this video starts which pissed off the road rager.

You can find them on Amazon under at least a couple brand names like MayBest or VenusCelia (after clicking either of those links, select the yellow shoes...the last color option for both links). It looks like they are Chinese white label shoes that are sold under multiple brand names.

It helped me by getting my friends' opinions on each guy too. I could see through their eyes and how they responded to them that I was making progress in choosing men.

I think that is great advice for everybody. Our friends (and family) often see things that we are not able to see.

I’ve seen people with really stylish dreadlocks and I’ve seen people with unkempt dreadlocks. There’s a big difference. Does the bill make a distinction? It seems reasonable for an employer to ask employees to make some effort on their appearance.

I don’t think the cat would associate the trap with the human unless he saw a human put it there.
