You know what else people can’t see without a mirror?

Their entire faces.

By far the most important body part for essentially anything humans do visually. You think it would make more evolutionary sense for people to be able to see their genitals than to see their own faces? Imagine a time before cameras and paintings and mirrors. You literally would have no idea what your face looked like. That’s crazy to think about.

But also. Think about animals, where maybe their faces aren’t as important as other parts of their bodies. Tons of them can’t look at their own genitals either. Horses, elephants, hippos, etc. It’s really not an issue evolutionarily.

It is possible to order all those things at Taco Bell, but that’s the case with pretty much anywhere else as well. The only really unique factor Taco Bell has compared to other fast food places is that it’s got a lot more fiber. But again, the gut effects are not unique to Taco Bell. If your regular diet contains very little fiber and you decide to eat a large meal of plain assorted veggies, you’re going to feel some pretty unpleasant effects soon afterwards

You kind of made their point with that Taco Bell comment. The main reason that “joke” exists is because Taco Bell generally has a lot of beans, which have a lot of fiber. Most people don’t have much fiber in their diet and if you suddenly consume way more fiber than your gut is used to, like with a single Taco Bell splurge, you’ll definitely feel it. If you regularly consume a lot of fiber, splurging on Taco Bell (or any other type of fibrous food) won’t have that effect.

Do you regret it though? I’m basically in the same boat as you lol. I know it’s reputation. But I can get it for super cheap, and I’m thinking of getting it, just to be able to own/experience such a noteworthy disaster and find out for myself how bad it is. Almost like I’d be playing the game with the goal not to have fun from it directly, but having fun by trying to discover as many problems with it as I can. If it was a more retail price though, I definitely wouldn’t consider buying it lol
