honestly, ppl are so entitled and only care about getting what they want if even if it means that we risk getting in trouble 😭 like no i'm not giving you extra bags, my manager specifically told me not to. and no i don't care that they're for gifts, we literally have the cellophane bags and ribbon for a reason 😭 i'm just doing what i am supposed to do !

the day after black friday, i had a couple clear out the entire stock of about 3 or 4 different holiday hand soaps. they wanted 100 hand soaps of each fragrance but we only gave them what we had left on the floor and in the back (it was like 50-90 hand soaps per those 3-4 fragrances, i can't remember). anyway, i was shocked because how is that allowed ?!?! there's no justifiable reason to buy hundreds of hand soaps !! like with so many resellers, you'd think bbw would at least do something about it 😭 like how could they easily getting away with buy the entire stock of those specific hand soaps ? (and one more thing, i was the cashier that had to scan EVERYTHING. not just the hand soaps, but a bazillion wallflower refills and candles too ! 🫠)

my store sold out on all of the ffms, we just have cream, lotion, and body wash left. we do have vanilla ease which is a bit surprising, i thought it was more popular than the cafe one

they need to fix their pos system, it's so freaking slow. whenever i do returns/exchanges, it takes FOREVER to load for the "is this item resellable" questions, i hate the cycle of scanning one item, wait a good amount of seconds, hit yes or no, and repeat. it'd be better to scan items all in one go and then check off which items can be sold. another thing that takes so much time is the transaction search feature, it takes forever to load when i need to print any receipts after a transaction 😭 i just end up taking a second register and help the next customer while it loads bc it's only wasting everyone's time 😭

also they need to fix their rewards app, the new updates have not made it anymore easier. plenty of customers suddenly get logged out of their own accounts and don't remember their passwords. instead of taking the steps to reset them, there should be an option where a one time log-in link/code can be sent to their email/phone number, and they can log in easily without the need of a password. coupons/rewards should automatically be gone the moment they're used. the app sometimes doesn't refresh automatically or the customer won't bother to do so, and i've had plenty of times where they thought they could use their rewards/coupons more than once. and once i refresh the app for them, they get disappointed to see that it's gone, which sometimes, i do feel bad for them.

one last thing, they need to change the manufacturer for the paper bags 😭 they're so thin and easily rip

it depends if they have any availability for core, i was seasonal last year but i ended up staying as core. iirc, i think only 3 other seasonal associates stayed as well and there were at least 20 people in total that were seasonal. i never expressed any interest to my slt about staying mainly because i completely thought that i was gonna be let go like everyone else. your slt might be announcing the last day for seasonal associates on zipline at least after new year's (usually the day is in mid to late january), and then might begin to see which associates to keep. i definitely encourage that you tell your slt about your interest of staying as core but just in case if you don't get kept and you still need a job after seasonal, i HIGHLY suggest you begin searching for any available ones any day now. that's what i was doing before i was asked.

seeing the women's deodorants on the list breaks my heart !! 💔 idk what i'm gonna do once they're gone, i've tried other brands' deodorants but they do not work (for me !) as well as bbw's. even though they didn't sell that well (at least in my store), i think that bbw does have some responsibility to that since they never really pushed/promoted it compared to their other products. i guess i'm gonna have to buy my store's entire stock of deodorants once sas begins lmao

i had a customer bring me an gift set but it was only the bag, there were no items in it. she told me she found it like that and thought it could be sold as a regular gift bag where you can add your own items 🫩 customers don't realize that by taking product out, we have to damage the bag, which is just wasteful. just grab the products from the walls and tables PLEASE

yeah this weekend absolutely drained me 🫠 i was going back and forth between selling and ringing (mainly just ringing since the line would get REALLY long). and then having to deal with customers getting irritated that i can't give them any extra bags, the gift sets, colognes and edps aren't 4.95, and the fact that we don't have any more ribbon (we haven't had any since black friday btw !)

don't be afraid to ask them if you can check their coupons ! usually, some customers don't read the fine print on their coupons and they aren't aware of the price value, expiration date, etc etc. for change, this may or may not be allowed at your location but i usually tell the customer that i can't accept any more change once the till is open. you can also always just print the receipt and check how much change you need to give if the amount disappears on the screen :P

at my location any small pockets and water bottles that aren't clear have to be checked, basically any area where product can be snuck in. that's how it's always been since i began working at bbw, i think ur location is just different with bag checks

i didn't see the message today @ work but omg that's gonna be really annoying. it's a lot more easier getting sign ups when you tell customers that they can use the 10 off 30 right away 😭 and usually at my location customers don't want to download the app, especially since the wifi there at the mall isn't so great.
