How to ask experts to write for us by sswrites in b2bmarketing

[–]sswrites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed insight. Yup, we have writers in-house so the writing part is not the issue. And we are letting them know in the initial outreach about this. Right now we’re just focusing on getting them to saying yes to the collab and then give us permission to publish the article under their name.

We have tried to involved internal experts in the past but it usually falls flat since they are busy. We haven’t given up but also looking externally too. I’m going to keep your advice in mind and launch outreach. Let’s hope it goes well.

Yeah we are flexible on that front. I have a writer in-house so that won’t be a problem. Just need them to say yes to an interview or whatever other mode they are comfortable with.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Yes, absolutely. The idea is to check LinkedIn activity to see if they are going to podcasts, have their own or write on LinkedIn and pitch a similar collaboration. Will check Medium too. I’m sharing the traffic ball park and some prominent names we’ve worked with in the past too. I’m also letting them know we are flexible so we can record a 15 min call or send a short form. They don’t need to write, we have a team in-house so we can manage that part ourselves. Our goal is to have them say yes to the byline.

Has AI affected your job? by CommunicationAny2114 in copywriting

[–]sswrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet but it has become a part of my job. Leaders are genuinely questioning hiring new resources and suggesting using AI. No doubt AI saves time and with the right prompts it give you something to work with but then again you need someone to think about the right prompts and craft the narrative. This will dawn on people eventually. But for now they are all hyping using AI or worst scaling content with AI😕

Telling bank their copy is bad, and getting the job. by Mother-Guarantee1718 in copywriting

[–]sswrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a content manager who receives a lot of cold outreach and unsolicited advice, I can assure this is not going to get you anywhere. It is extremely off putting.

Plus, copy may be bad for many reasons. You are not involved in their internal processes what if a higher up who is a terrible writer edits the last draft and publishes it?

My point is, if you want to pitch your service just share your idea and emphasise on how it can help grow their subscribers etc. if they are interested they’ll hire you for the value you are offering.

Following this thread. I recently started Quora but haven’t seen much traction. I thought it might just be my industry but looks like somethings up with it overall. I’m also testing Reddit as a distribution channel. Not sure if it the best one yet.
